Mr. Siegwart was very helpful. He responded to a quick question and was very professional and generous with his time. He seems like an excellent resource.

I contacted Mr. Siegwart through his website and received a response from him the next day and asked for additional information. He also called. When we finally connected via phone he asked a few additional questions. He immediately provided me with information and the text to include in a letter to request the Pflichtteil in an inheritance matter. He was very courteous. I had contact a different German/American attorney more local to my area but never received a response. If the need arises for my to hire a German/American attorney he will be at the top of my list. Thank you for the quick and thorough assistance.

BUT, I was pleasantly surprised.
I went through the "Beibehaltungs Genehmigung" in order to keep my German citizenship. I thought it was a lot of paper work and back and forth and lots of aggravation, etc., to apply for the Beibehaltungs Genehmigung. However, I can only say that I am still flabbergasted how easy it was. I knew exactly what to expect and what to do since I was provided with a list of items to take care of at the first free consultation. From then on, everything was getting even easier. Everyone in Mr. Siegwart's office was very attentive and the application went through pretty quickly. I felt taken care of and NEVER frustrated. Thank you all so much for making this whole process such a positive one.
Many, many Thanks.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
Mr. Siegwart is the attorney to call on for transnational legal issues involving US law, on one hand, and German/Austrian/Swiss law, on the other. I'm an attorney and I sought his advice on an issue that arose in a probate proceeding in Vienna. Austrian counsel was stuck on a choice of law issue, and Mr. Siegwart was familiar with the problem and gave us expert counsel on how to break the log jam we were facing.
