|CA||Not Eligible to Practice Law (Not Entitled)||2008||03/27/2017|
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
Richard’s comment: “Moved overseas in 2012. Acceptance of the stipulation to settle the State Bar case rather than incur substantial expense to return to California to defend myself was one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I had already changed my status to Inactive in California in 2/2014, and I have had no discipline in any other jurisdiction. As a former law professor and educator for over 10 years, I have always worked hard to contribute to my community. References available upon request.”

Helped me with my case against the police. Before the lawsuit was filed, Rich found out a lot of damaging stuff about the police officer that attacked me. Rich kept me informed throughout the case, and he made sure I understood what was going on. He arranged for me to see a top-notch specialist to evaluate my injuries. My only complaint is that Rich can sometimes be hard to reach in person, so I would leave him messages, but he always got back to me. When it came time to settle, he did not pressure me at all. He respected that my reasons for wanting to settle a bit early had to do with family issues. He also made sure I got all of my settlement money very quickly. Rich was really helpful and he also helped me with some legal issues that had nothing to do with my lawsuit- and he did it for free. Having gone through a divorce, I learned to hate lawyers. But Rich proved that not all lawyers are only interested in money- he genuinely cared about me and my family.

This lawyer actually kept me out of litigation. He negotiated with an incredibly hostile person and wore him down. As a result, I was able to amicably settle the matter and save myself a lot of time and money that would have been wasted on litigation.
Rich would always respond quickly to my emails and calls- and it was clear throughout the entire ordeal that he always had his eye on what result would be best for me-- not what result would line his pockets.

Mr. deSaulles helped us through what we expected to be a very long and difficult dispute.
He did a great job explaining all of the legal issues involved in our case, and he definitely put our minds at ease. We very quickly learned that we were in very capable hands.
He guided us to a very swift resolution of our case and the results far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Mr. deSaulles without any hesistation at all.
