(Ela) I've been living in Canada for over a decade. When I left to Canada, I went as a immigrant from the US. Years back, I decided that I wanted to come back to the US and had my mother spoke with lawyers to see if it was possible to sponsor me back since they were Citizens of the US. Lawyers ti...me and time again would say that it would take 8-10 years for the process and there are no guarantees as to whether I would be able to come or not.
