She makes you feel confident in your case, keeping you updated, well informed and knows her stuff.

Ms. Bansel was my lawyer on a criminal case. I had a consultation with her and right away hired her to represent me. She don’t waste time, she was right on the ball with getting an investigation going. She was in contact with me about everything that was going on, just to make sure I knew. Talking to... her always gave me relief on the whole situation. I was facing some serious charges, and she got them dropped. I highly recommend her, you will be aware of everything & different scenarios, you will feel confident going into court with her by your side.

Anjali Bansal is wonderful and always ready to do anything she can do to help. She explained what to expect in court and what needed to be done before hand. She always kept me informed on the status of the case and any questions I may have. I would highly recommend Anjali to anyone who needs an attor...ney.

Sealing or Expungement

Good afternoon, I wanted to leave a comment/ review as tactfully and respectfully as possible as this is not to put Ms Bansal or her firm down, but I wanted to express and give the full context of what happened to me so people are aware if this is a route they want to do or take. I hired Ms Ba...nsal February 2021 for 4,000 dollars to have my arrest record sealed. During our initial consultation she did make it clear that having an arrest record sealed isn’t guaranteed but was confident that she could do it. After the consultation we agreed on the 4,000 dollars and she allowed me to pay her 500 dollars a month until the 4,000 dollars was paid. I paid her monthly and she consistently gave me updates which was appreciated. After I completed the payment of 4,000 dollars in September 2021 she emailed me proof that she requested to have my DOJ summary sheet corrected to change my arrest to detention only and informed me that she recommended not going with the arrest sealing because the charges have to pass a certain time limit, or the DA can still file charges. I had asked how long would I need to wait to have my arrest sealed and there seemed to be confusion but the answer I received was 10 years after the arrest date because of my charges. I wish I had been told this before I hired her and paid 4,000 dollars but I found this out after I had fully paid her. She stated that this wouldn’t affect my career or employment and she’s been right so far it hasn’t, but my goal was to be able to mark “no” when asked if I had ever been arrested when applying for jobs and I still have to mark “yes” because it still populates as arrested/detention/cited on the California DOJ summary sheet and arrested or received on the FBI summary sheet. I was arrested, booked, fingerprinted, released, and the DA never filed charges and gave me a letter stating that it was classified as a “detention only” but I still have to mark “yes” when asked if I had been arrested because it still pops up on my record when I do my fingerprint background check and I don’t want to lie about it and rather come forward to my employer about it and that’s why I wanted to have my arrest record sealed. After September 2021 I got my fingerprints done again to check my criminal summary sheet and it was still showing arrested/detention/cited so I did my own research and reached out to the California DOJ to have it corrected. The only thing California DOJ corrected was my disposition of my arrest and the DOJ stated that because the rap sheet states arrest/detention/cited that it was correct and they wouldn’t change it. I reached out to Ms Bansal about this but the response I received from her was that she emailed me proof that she corrected it. Overall, Ms Bansal was very professional and even answered my text messages months after she was paid out which was also appreciated. If you are going to hire a lawyer to have an arrest record sealed please do your own research or ask the lawyer to make sure that the DA cannot file charges anymore so that you can at least try and have it sealed so that you are not told after months of paying and waiting to be told that your lawyer recommends not trying to seal your arrest record because the DA can still file charges.

Good morning, Thank you for your review. I am aware of this particular case and the client who requested this. While I appreciate tour concerns, please keep in mind that because you were not arrested, your DOJ background should never have reflected an arrest. You were informed that because the statutory of limitations on your particular felony charge had not run out that it was a not a guarantee that your whole record would be expunged. With that advice, you still wanted your DOJ rap sheet to be corrected so that way when your background was run, it did not reflect an arrest, and you could truthfully check on all applications that you had never been arrested. There were hours of work dealing with the arresting agency to get DOJ to correct their error as there was a lapse there. The Firm wishes you well.

Good evening -- Thank you for your review Veronica Smith. So others have the full context: The Firm was retained the night before her son's case was set to go to Court. Unfortunately she waited until the last moment. Me, my assistant, and my investigator spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening working up her son's case for the next day given the extreme concern she expressed. She was informed I was due in multiple juvenile courtrooms the next morning -- my assistant sent a note to that effect. There was some issue with who she sent it to. The juvenile judge continued her son's case 2 weeks. The Firm apologized and attempted to rectify the error but she was unwilling to work with the Firm the next morning. We continue to wish Veronica Smith the best with her son's case.
