I have known David since at least the mid-1990’s when he was a Deputy District Attorney. I enjoyed working with him because he was a straight-shooter, a quality he has maintained over the years as a private criminal defense attorney. We recently represented codefendants in a very serious multiple-defendant gang prosecution in Kings County. He was a good person to work with on an overall strategy that would benefit each of our clients, and we settled the case very favorably for a small fraction of the time the defendants were looking at if they were convicted at trial. He is respected by prosecutors, judges, and other defense counsel, and quick to help other attorneys with practical advice and by actually being around to help out in a jam. I am happy to recommend him.

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
David’s comment: “This action arose from a situation that occured in 2008. It was a personal matter involving the ending of a long term dating relationship. It did not involve the practice of law and does not reflect upon my experience, knowledge and professionalism. Nothing about the action has affected my reputation and effectiveness with judges and/or attorneys.”
