I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. My dad was constantly going to jail or prison for one reason or another. When you're young you think your dad is the master of the universe.
Who were these people who could cage him, I wondered.
I have had many opportunities for cushy DA jobs. I have never considered taking one. I have a 5 year old's vendetta against these people, now a real passion for criminal defense.
This makes me motivated. In law school I was first in my class, and had the top grade in criminal law.
I like to go to trial (when prudent) and watch the DA wilt when the "not guilty" verdict is read.
I now have a ton of experience, more than most people after 20 years, 10 more than I've been practicing. I have done co-defendant work with some of the best lawyers in town( (30-40 years experience), and didnt't really feel outshined at all, especially on jury selection and cross-examination.
I am friendly, accessible and compassionate with clients. I believe in hard work, perserverance, kindness and fair dealing. Not too many of my colleagues see things the same way. Some of my clients over the years of become close friends...
I'm a bit different. If you need a lawyer, you probably cannot do a whole lot better than me. And I don't fleece people.
I get the job done and at readonable cost to you.
