I started to call around for DUI attorneys after being released from jail the morning after my DUI. I was extremely worried and had no idea what to do. I knew I had to hire an attorney but could not find one that made me feel comfortable. Almost everyone had me speak with a paralegal and wanted an exorbinant amount of money even before the lawyer would talk to me. I came across Simon's profile here on avvo and called the number that was listed. It was a Friday a bit after 5 pm and as expected his office was closed. But the system had an option to speak with someone on call. I took the option expecting to speak with a secretary. Turns out he was the one that answered my call. He listened to my situation for ten minutes and told me that this was a situation he deals with regularly and that I should not worry too much. He explained he could not speak right then in length but would call me in the morning. He texted me his office number and had me schedule a call with him for the next day. We spoke that afternoon and then set up a in person meeting. Simon insisted that its important to meet a lawyer face to face. Totally different from the other high profile guys. When I met with him I knew he was the lawyer for me. We spent hours working through every facet of my case free of charge. He gave me a general idea of what his strategy would be but also told me it may change as the case developed. Still no charge. He then layed out the fee structure, which I found to be reasonable compared to what I had previously been quoted. Once I signed up his assitant called to set up a second teleconference. This time he informed me that he had extended my DMV hearing so I could continue to drive to work for as long as possible. He then told me that I would not need to meet him at the first criminal appearance but welcomed me should I want to attend. This was common. The communication and follow up was good. There were only a few times I could not get a hold of him and if he wasn't there his associate lawyer was good to deal with. Overall he was able to waive enhancements in my case and avoid jail and community labor. My case involved a accident with injury. This was a very stressful time in my life and Simon made the process easier. If you want an attorney that will work for you and with you I would call Simon.

Mr. Budhwani did a fantastic job when i hired him for my DUI case. He handled things extremely efficiently and professionally. He was always on time and kept me well informed. We obtained a reduction of the original charges. I would recommend him to any and all who might need a great dui lawyer in the future.

So I got a DUI driving back to OC from Vegas. My case was at the Victorville court house. I researched a bunch of different attorneys out there but was not impressed. I also met with some in OC where I live who simply did not want to take a case all the way out in Victorville. Simon was the only one who seemed up to the challenge. He warned me that he had never handled a DUI up there before but if I was willing to believe in him he would do his best for me. I hired him. We went to 3 pre-trials and even though Simon was out of his comfort zone that did not stop him from getting my case reduced. By the third pretrial he had gotten the DA on his side and you could tell she had changed her attitude about the case. When I asked him how he pulled it off he just said he remained kind but persistent. He also told me that I was owed credit myself since I had listened to him and attended 20 AA classes over the last few months, which he was able to show to the DA and Judge. I highly recommend Simon for DUI cases.

Unfortunately, Simon and Marissa weren't the first attorneys that I hired to settle my divorce. I came to them after finding out that, unbeknownst to me, my first attorney had ceased to communicate with the other party's attorney and, subsequently, with me. What a contrast! From our very first meeting, Simon and Marissa made it clear that they were working on my behalf and that they would maintain regular communication with everyone concerned, especially me. I even had Simon's cell phone number. His glowing online reviews hadn't prepared me to the exceedingly positive impression with which I left his office that afternoon. After getting the file from my old lawyer, cleaning it up, and drafting all the documents that I was supposed to have after more than a year with my previous attorney--Simon then proceeded to contact my ex-wife's attorney, and from then on made sure that the case progressed as it should have. In-between, Simon was exceedingly perceptive and effective in helping me spend vacation time with my son as well as figure out compensation arrangements that were both fair and that allowed me to retain a valuable negotiating future position. A year-and-a-month later, I had my divorce agreement signed that is fair and sensitive to my particular needs.

Lets just say that I made a very stupid mistake earlier this week that ended me spending a night in jail. My divorce attorney gave me Simon's cell number. I called on a weekend and he personally picked up the phone. Invited me to his office though it was closed and spent hours with me talking about my criminal case. I wish I had this guy for my divorce as well though my current attorney is also good. He was so thorough and dissected every aspect of my case. His quote was not the cheapest but no other attorney I met with even came close to breaking down the case as good as he did. Will updated as case goes further.

The following is my experience of Simon Budhwani after hiring him for a custody matter. He was an outstanding lawyer with solid knowledge of the law and the emotional intelligence necessary to be compassionate and keep me calm through the process. Dealing with my ex and his crazy stances would make anyone's blood boil. Simon stayed professional throughout. He was a ray of sunlight in helping me with my kids custody situation. He listened. He communicated clearly. He stood firm with the other attorney when they were not being fair. He was very involved in the case. I felt lucky to have him and will not hesitate to pass on his name to friends and family.

I liked that Simon made my criminal case easier than I thought! From the time I signed that contract until the court hearing I was worrying and thinking about what I can do next or how the case was going. I've never had to go to court for a trial before so I didn't know what to expect and how the process worked. Simon and his assistant explained and kept me updated. Whenever there was a status change to my case or there was new information I needed to know, I would get a email telling me what was going on and what to expect next. This was very important to me so I really liked that. I'm the type of person that likes knowing exactly what is going on and as a result I called his office, probably a bit too much, to ask questions. If Simon was not there one of the other attorneys or his assistant had an answer for me. I strongly recommend hiring him. He is busy so you may not get a call back personally right away (hard for me to handle) but someone else will call you back and if needed he would follow up. I get that.

Mr. Budhwani did a good job helping me with my child custody case. I interviewed three different attorneys and picked him. He was the only one out of the three that met with me personally. The other two from this website I never met. They had me meet with a lower attorney. I also liked the fact that Mr. Budhwani gave me his cell phone number and told me to text him if I had questions. Told me if i called his cell there was little chance I would get a call back but if I texted he would do his best to respond. True to his word he did reply when I had questions.

Quite frankly, I hope I never have to acquire his services again for my traffic case, but on the off chance I find myself in this unfortunate bind again, I won't hesitate to go with Simon and Core Law Group.

Mr. Budhwani represented me after my first attorney lost my DMV case and my license got suspended. I found a blog he wrote about hardship exceptions and called him. He explained to me that in specific cases a person can get a hardship exception to his license suspension from the DMV. He told me it was very difficult to do and that he would have to analyze my facts before even taking my case because he did not want me to waste money. We spent an hour on the phone, he asked me to forward documentation to support my case, and a week later his assistant Matt called me and said Simon thought I had a chance to win. We appealed and requested a hardship exception and won. He is an outstanding attorney. He was up front with me concerning costs and outcomes and did not want me to waste my money. I appreciated that.
