Great family lawyer!

Kim is really empathetic and professional. It helped me feel comfortable explaining to her my situation which can sometimes be embarassing. I really like that she is quick to respond to me when I have any questions and is always following up with me. I was very anxious at the beginning of my case,... but Kim is very patient which helped me understand what was going on with my case and helped me to achieve the outcome I wanted.

Excellent lawyer

Kim is a great lawyer who is both proficient and efficient. She made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I did not have to step into the office as often as I had thought because Kim made it easy for me to process most things through fax/email/mail. I definitely recommend her to others.

DO NOT HIRE !

We had a very disappointing experience with this firm during a family law matter. What should have been a more straightforward process became unnecessarily drawn out, which resulted in significantly higher legal fees. It often felt like routine or administrative work was being billed at attorney rat...es rather than handled more efficiently, which quickly drove costs up. Communication was inconsistent, and instead of moving the case forward, there were delays that only seemed to increase the time billed. By the end, the total fees were far beyond what we expected for the scope of the matter. We understand legal services are expensive, but clients deserve transparency, efficiency, and billing that reflects the actual level of work being done. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to closely monitor billing and ask detailed questions about who is performing work and at what rate.

Inefficient staffing and refusal to delegate resulted in excessive billing

I hired this firm in August 2024 for a sensitive family law matter. After a year of representation, I was forced to terminate the relationship due to their billing practices and an apparent refusal to manage the case efficiently. Key issues I encountered: • Excessive Dual Billing: For many tasks an...d meetings, both the Lead Attorney, Kim Lynn Hoang, and the Associate, Drew Allen Walleck, billed simultaneously. While some collaboration is expected, the frequency of this "double-teaming" on the file led to significantly inflated costs. • Refusal to Delegate: I repeatedly requested and eventually demanded that routine work be pushed down to paralegals or administrative assistants to manage costs. These requests were ignored, and the attorneys continued to perform—and bill at high hourly rates for—work that should have been handled at a lower level. • Prolonged Litigation Strategy: Contrary to my suggestions to litigate several issues concurrently to reach a resolution, they insisted on tackling issues one at a time. This approach seemed designed to extend the duration of the case rather than resolve it. I have since hired new counsel and the difference in efficiency is night and day. If you want a firm that respects your resources and understands how to properly staff a case, I recommend looking elsewhere.
