Darren S. Veracruz is an attorney and business entrepreneur born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His extensive litigation and negotiation skills have helped him to successfully represent clients across the country. Darren has represented clients in a variety of legal matters, including debt collection, foreclosure defense, real estate transactions, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, family court proceedings, estate planning and small business law.
Darren has worked with several legal organizations in the New York City area providing legal counsel to residents of the local community. He served as an officer of the Unemployment Action Center, a New York City-wide organization that provided representation to employees denied unemployment benefits. He worked as a fellow for Queens Legal Services' foreclosure defense project, a team committed to providing comprehensive foreclosure defense to homeowners facing the prospect of losing their homes. Darren also founded and ran his own law practice, the Law Offices of Darren S. Veracruz, which was based in Brooklyn, New York. There, he represented clients all over the New York City area, including in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Bronx counties.
Darren has also devoted countless hours to providing pro bono legal services and legal counsel to underprivileged residents of the local community. He has been frequently recognized for his service to the community by legal organizations such as the Brooklyn Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyer's Project.
Before becoming a lawyer, Darren formed his own corporation and invested in small businesses and franchises such as The UPS Store. Darren studied Public Policy and earned his B.A. as an undergraduate student at the Nelson A. Rockefeller School of Public Policy at the State University of New York at Albany. He later earned a law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
Darren is admitted to practice in the states of California, New York, and New Jersey. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Riverside County Bar Association.
