Description: Husband and father Robert Bailey, a helicopter safety pilot for Robinson Helicopter, was tragically killed when an air traffic controller gave a command which caused a student pilot of another helicopter to collide with the Bailey helicopter at Torrance airport in November 2003. The case was tried in Los Angeles federal court in 2009 in two phases. Plaintiffs, the wife and three children, prevailed in both the liability and damages phases of trial.
