Sorensen v. Vernola Family Trust

Practice Area: Personal injury

Outcome: $2.1 million

Description: Plaintiff was working at an alignment and tire shop when he either slipped and fell or sustained an electrical shock that rendered him unconscious. There were no witnesses. When the plaintiff woke up in the hospital 35 years of his 52 year life had been wiped out by the head or electrical injury. The rancho cucamonga jury in mid 2010 heard several weeks of testimony and concluded the defendant trust was partially responsible and rendered a 2.1 million dollar verdict. This after the defendant claimed there was no proof of electrical injury and that they were not responsible for the leaking water that accumulated in the alignment pit. The case is currently on appeal.
