I want to take a few minutes to let you know; if you are looking for an amazing personal injury lawyer, look no further. Joe Higuera is your man, without a doubt.
My husband is a cyclist that didn't fair well with an SUV recently, after assessing his situation in the hospital, we decided that it was more than someone should have to go through, knowing whole- heartedly that he needed legal representation. Joe Higuera was recommended to us from a friend and it was the best word of mouth we could have ever received. Prior to meeting with Joe, we checked all of his reviews, so impressed by him and after the first conversation via phone, we were all too sure he was going to be my husband's trusted liaison. Upon accepting the case, he fit us right into his busy schedule, making us feel as if we were his priority one; not only did he get to know the case and what happened but made the effort to get to know us personally.
Joe, Erica & Susan took phenomenal care of him from the get go, assuring that he got the proper care he needed in order to heal up quickly , hence allowing him not to stress out (too much) about the little things. Joe & his team handled everything with professionalism, follow through & genuine sincerity-- after each interaction, we always felt confident that the right choice had been made by allowing Joe to represent my husband and his injuries. Joe makes himself available to you at the drop of a text, email or call; he is always willing to answer any questions or ease any concerns that you may have along the way. I can't say enough of how wonderful my husband & I think Joe & his office staff are. You won't be disappointed by choosing Joe.
Thank you so much for everything Joe Higuera, we appreciate you!

I would recommend anyone who has been hit by a motorist while on a bike to sit down and speak with Joe before committing to a lawyer. I owe a tremendous thanks to Joe, Susan, Erica for helping me and my family through a terrible situation. Joe Higuera and his team were incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. When the insurance company refused to work with me and my family, Joe and his team worked together to bring the case to a quick resolution in our favor.
I was hit by a car driven by a young, unlicensed driver. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and later admitted for my injuries. When released, it was several months before I could begin to exercise again. In the mean time I had a mountain a medical bills and a bike that was in ruins.
A close friend had recommended I speak with Joe Higuera because he had helped another cyclist after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
Amazingly enough, I was not killed and the bike was still in one piece, but would not roll. Every bike mechanic, bike manufacturer, and online article I read stated DO NOT RIDE the bike. Words like structural integrity and catastrophic failure were common.
From the time I first contacted Joe’s office, he was very responsive to calling me back. He suggested we meet at the earliest opportunity and made himself available at my convenience. When we spoke, he was friendly and professional and welcomed my questions. I don’t have much experience talking or working with lawyers, and expected the conversation to be more like reading the fine print in a home mortgage. Joe was down to earth and easy to talk with and understand, and to my surprise, he was an avid cyclist and triathlete. This last part turned out to be critical to my case.
As I came to find out after speaking with several lawyers, the medical aspect of an injury case is fairly straight forward. If you have insurance, which I do, everything goes by a process that follows the rules and regulations of the law and your own insurance limits. But for property, it’s an entirely different set of rules that are driven primarily by the insurance of the guilty party. This can be messy, labor intensive, and time consuming for both the injured and the lawyer representing the injured. Other lawyers I spoke with said they would handle the bodily injury portion of my claim, but that I should pursue the property (bike and gear) damages on my own. This was not going anywhere with me trying to push the case that my bike was worth a lot more than what they wanted to offer.
The insurance of the guilty party wanted to offer me $1,300 for my “property” loss (an all carbon frame w/carbon wheels). This was humiliating and discouraging to me, but not to Joe. Joe stated he was not surprised and he and his team immediately put forth a plan to press the insurance company to more appropriately compensate me for my property loss (my bike). During the entire process Joe or one of his associates, Susan or Erica, would contact me and ask for information or my thoughts on which way they should go. Joe would make his recommendations, which were always to push harder and get the insurance company to step up and recognize the true value of my bike.
In the end, he got the insurance company to pay a very fair reimbursement of the value of my bike. I was more than happy, and extremely impressed by his commitment to managing and settling my case with the insurance company. I can say for certain that on my own, or with other lawyers, as good as they were, I would not have received the value I did for my bike. Joe was also able to settle the medical claims in a very short period of time.

Joe Higuera my attorney back in july 2012 thank you for fighting for me. My domestic violence ended crazy and sounded crazy as i told what happened. He believed me when no ones else could wrap their minds around what happened on the horrible day for me after a battle behind child didn't go in my abuser favor. He handled me and my case with care. He paid attention to details and facts. I SUFFERED A FRACTURED STERNUM, MISALIGNED BACK AND CONCUSSION THAT CAUSED ME TO STUTTER I thank you a million times for taking care of my cases with care and getting the job done. I settled out of court on a very difficult case.
