About me

Amanda is a Senior Partner with Goodman Mooney focusing primarily on US and international intellectual property and corporate matters, including brand protection, trademark prosecution, copyright protection and domain name disputes.  Amanda has a great deal of experience in the consumer goods sector and has served as outside general counsel to Too Faced Cosmetics, Inc. for a number of years now.  Amanda is also keenly familiar with the changing landscape of new media law and has been featured in numerous publications on the legal challenges presented by new media and internet law.  Her passion for apparel and beauty products has rendered Amanda an excellent fit as legal counsel for various up and coming brands.  Amanda also enjoys working with the action sports sector, a field she grew particularly comfortable with while handling sponsorships and endorsements for Boost Mobile.

Amanda has presented her brand protection program, geared for both small and large clients, at various conferences, including the International Trademark Association Annual Meeting in Berlin and ASR in San Diego. Amanda is also adept at negotiating and drafting a wide range of corporate contracts, including license agreements, endorsement agreements, sponsorship agreements, agency agreements (software, media, public relations and event production) and agreements related to artists, musicians and commercial photographers. Amanda’s experience in the business sector as Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs at Boost Mobile, a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel affords her a well versed sensibility that benefits her clients.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Amanda graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science where she received Eleanor Roosevelt College Provost’s Honors. Amanda obtained her Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego, School of Law with an emphasis in intellectual property and international law. I have had the good fortune of knowing Amanda for several years. I have represented several clients who have worked with her on intellectual property matters. Without exception, each client was impressed with the work that she and her colleagues performed. Amanda is an outstanding intellectual property attorney and a very nice person - a terrific combination for clients.
