Sally has been of great help in assisting me with my estate, corporate and real estate matters. She is extremely knowledgeable on various legal issues. I trust her to have my best interest at heart. While you would think most attorneys would, I speak from experience when I say that is not always the case. Sally puts her clients first and dedicates to herself to protecting them and finding the best possible solution.

Sally skillfully navigated a complex investment green card case involving a multi-party family. She carefully and expeditiously shepherded every step of the way and successfully secured green cards for the entire family. She was always responsive to us and proactive in mitigating delays in the government review process. Sally is a credit to her profession.

  • Unfamiliar with OFAC laws

This attorney claims to be an expert in OFAC and IRS regulation yet she advised me, a United States citizen, to open a bank account in a US sanctioned country, in direct violation of 31 C.F.R. 560.201. Once I contacted a Washington, D.C. law firm that specializes in OFAC matters and was provided with the law, I fired her and requested the return of the fees she was withholding from me. Her reply was that my request is “illegal” and that I am disrupting her business. I only sent her a handful of e-mails over the course of a month. I am not sure how this can be construed as illegal.

Saloumeh Amirghahari’s response: “As previously indicated to you in my letter, I do have my LLM in taxation, however, I did not advise you to open a bank account in a sanctioned country and I did not represent you in any taxation law matters. I also indicated to you that I have done a multitude of successful OFAC cases, both general licensing and specific licensing under OFAC regulations, with successful results as well as happy and satisfied clients in all areas of my practice. I have never given illegal advice to you or any of my clients and I follow the law precisely, which is why I’ve had so many successful transactions. You never actually fired me, as you indicated that you will come back and utilize my tax services for this particular transaction or a potential audit. However, you broke our contract for reasons that do not reflect my work as an attorney (maybe you found someone with lower fees?). When you sent me a message asking to refund you, I replied in a timely manner and indicated that I would look into your file and then get back to you. I never said I would not refund your money nor did I ignore your message. Matter of fact, I did offer to refund some of your money even though our contract clearly stated that I was not obligated to do so. I only deducted the time that I had already spent on your case. However, you wrongfully stated in your comment that you “requested the return of the fees” and I'm “withholding your money”. Also, I never said sending me emails are “illegal”. However, I mentioned that your continued and persistent disruption of my business, without allowing for a reasonable time frame for me to get back to you could be considered unlawful. I also indicated to you that if you wrongfully accuse or make false statements about a person, those actions can be considered libel or defamation and thus, charges can be filed against you. Again, I have had many successful OFAC and taxation cases before the U.S. Department of Treasury and the IRS as they are evident and expressed by some of my clients and colleagues testimonies, endorsements and recommendations on various social media.”

I highly recommend Mrs. Amirghahari for her excellent legal services.
My wife and I were initially referred to Saloumeh for our family trust about (3) years ago. She reviewed our personal, business and financial information very thoroughly and provided valuable legal advice that led to setting up our family trust. She keeps us informed about important issues that may have an impact to our case. We continue enjoying her legal advice also for our private and business related issues.
We found her to be very trustworthy, responsive, knowledgeable and friendly attorney that keeps her client's interest as the highest priority.

I really cannot express enough through words how amazing Sally is. My husband is from Iran and we met in London, so we needed a lawyer to help get him a fiancé visa. Thank God we found Sally. US immigration law is so complicated and if any detail is completed incorrectly it can delay the process for months. Thanks to Sally, everything was completed perfectly and we got his visa in no time. She has such a vast knowledge of US immigration law and she had amazing advice. After getting his fiancé visa, Sally also helped him get his Green Card and his US citizenship. She is worth every penny. She was always available when we had concerns or questions. I cannot recommend her enough.
