Excellent

I would like to share how amazing Mike Razo, attorney family law, has been for me. In every step of my court proceedings he has been overly communicative, encouraging and empathetic. He took the time to understand my situation thoroughly, so I knew what was happening. He fought for me and my rights a...s a father. I would strongly recommend Mr. Razo to anyone that needs an attorney for family law.

How do you select an attorney online?

Looking for an attorney online is a lot different than shopping for a car or finding a good restaurant. Fortunately, most of the general public will never need the services of an attorney, but if the need should ever arise, they will be faced with the daunting task of choosing one from the thousands ...of attorneys practicing in California. So how do you make the right choice when you may not even know what you need? Having been self-employed for most of my life I have found myself in need of legal assistance not by choice but by circumstance. Accordingly, I have had to retain the services of multiple attorneys over the years, each specializing in the specific area of law my situation required at the time. I have had attorneys who were good, bad, young, and old. So with all this said, what have I learned? The best attorneys I have ever retained were referred to me by friends who were either attorneys themselves or who have worked in the judicial system. Get an attorney who specializes in your needs and avoid firms that advertise multiple specialties of law. My most recent legal need was in Family Law and I was fortunate to be referred to Michael Razo, a partner of Bratton, Razo & Lord in Riverside. During our initial consultation, Michael was extremely attentive, took many notes and LISTENED to what I had to say. I emphasize this because in the past I have found that some attorneys have a tendency to assume they already know what you have to say, because they think they have heard it said so many times before. This was not the case with Michael, he encouraged me to tell my story and was genuinely interested in all the details. I immediately felt at ease with Michael and could sense his passion for Family Law. After my initial meeting with Michael, I was convinced that he was the one. Even the best attorneys are only as good as their support staff. I can’t say enough about the professional office management and staff at Bratton, Razo & Lord. They are courteous, articulate and efficient. Overall, a great team with a great captain, Michael Razo. Enough said!

Custody/Visitation Case

Mr. Razo recently provided excellent representation for a custody/visitation case. He was very thorough, detailed, attentive and professional. Very responsive during my case and provided frequent updates and was always open to answering my questions. He was always very organized and very familiar wit...h the details of my case. I am very protective of my children and I felt like he truly cared about what was best for them and fought for them. He brought many things to my attention that I wouldn’t have otherwise thought of and made sure that I was thoroughly prepared for mediation and court.

Mr.

When I was referred to Mr. Razo by a coworker, I was told he was fair, ethical, and thorough. I immediately found that to be true. Mr. Razo was honest with me the entire time. He always gave me expectations, but he also advised me of the reality and possible outcomes. Mr. Razo did not promise me anyt...hing, but his full effort to help me fight for joint custody of my children. I had been divorced for 5 years and had partial custody of my two kids with my ex having primary custody. My Ex-wife moved our children over an hour away from me causing turmoil and hardship for the children. Over the years of fighting for more custody, I was bullied and pushed to back down by my exes lawyer. My job and schedule was constantly used against me since I work 12 hours shifts. Mr. Razo assured me that fathers are equal and we can have equal time and custody of our children. Mr. Razo assisted me in having my ex move back to a central location where we can live in the same town, and I was awarded joint Legal and Physical Custody with the equal time share that I requested with no restrictions due to my work schedule. I could not be happier with Mr. Razo's work. He truly made it his goal to help me win the case, but did so in an ethical way that allowed my ex and I to maintain a good relationship. I highly recommend Michael Razo.

Grandparent Visitation

In December of 2017 I found myself in need of an attorney to help me gain visitation of my two grandsons. On the recommendation of my previous divorce attorney (who no longer practices family law) I went to Bratton, Razo, & Lord. After a consultation my case was taken by Mike Razo. Mr. Razo has a ver...y professional and calm demeanor; don’t let this fool you, he’s there to win. When our case finally went to trial Mr. Razo was incredibly well prepared and focused. One of the things that I appreciated was that Mr. Razo doesn’t get involved in personal character assassination and unnecessary drama. He fought my case with the facts and the law. The office staff at BRL is always friendly and professional. My e-mails and phone calls were always promptly answered. These things are so valuable when you’re in the middle of an emotional and difficult time. My case was complicated and a difficult win. I’m so glad that I put my trust in Bratton, Razo, & Lord and my entire family is eternally grateful for the hard work and dedication to this case.
