About me

I was born in Ohio and raised just outside Washington, DC in Lanham, Maryland. I returned to Ohio to attend Ohio University; where I graduated Cum Laude and was a member of Golden Key International Honour Society and Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society. In addition, I was honored to be named an Ohio University Outstanding Senior Leader.

Prior to my legal career, I worked in nonprofit fundraising for the San Diego Repertory Theatre and as a human resources professional for Capital One Financial Services.

Almost ten years after I completed my undergraduate studies, I enrolled at California Western School of Law. While attending California Western, I was invited to compete as a member of the trial team and the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Competition team. I was selected as an Honors Instructor for legal research and writing courses, received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, and was named a Distinguished Advocate for my First Place finish in the First Year Appellate Competition.

After completing my Juris Doctor, I attended Northwestern University School of Law; where I received a Master of Laws in Taxation, and won First Place in the LL.M. Division of the American Bar Association's Law Student Tax Challenge.

Upon graduation, I worked for the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the area of International Tax Services. I advised multinational clients in a variety of industries on complicated domestic and international tax matters. Today, I am the owner of Rábago Law and an attorney licensed to practice in the states of California and Texas.

I stay active in the San Diego legal community as a volunteer attorney with the Legal Aid Society's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. I am the Vice President of Finance for the Chi Omega Alumnae Group of San Diego and serve as an Alumnae Advisor to the Chi Omega Chapter at the University of California, San Diego. I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the East Village Association Business Improvement District; where I chair the Marketing and Membership Committee. In my spare time, I can generally be found enjoying the sights and sounds of San Diego's East Village. I am an avid craft beer enthusiast and enjoy traveling abroad with my husband.

I have known Anne-Marie for several years. She is a suburb lawyer who is very active in the community. She has helped me organize and prepare my business taxes for the last several years and I trust her immensely. I would not hesitate to refer my fellow attorneys to her for tax and business advice.
