Second, the expungement period was reduced to just one year, whereas standard is three years. Third, they spoke with the DMV to arrange that the hard month-long driver's license suspension occur at the time that was convenient for me. Finally, and most importantly, Alisha was present at a hearing I had to attend due to professional licensure issues, and her team prepared all the additional documentation this licensure group required. This last part was critical to minimize the effect of this conviction on my job, which could have been very bad. Alisha and her team were very competent, prompt, and flexible. They made going through this traumatizing process as tolerable as possible. This is all the more impressive since I was a client during Alisha's establishment of her own law offices after being a partner at Casey and Wood. As far as I could tell, this was a completely seamless transition.
