For my DUI case I initially felt very helpless, like there was nothing I could do to better my situation and thought I should just go with a public defender and accept whatever outcome there was. The burden of it all was extremely taxing on my psychological health. Although it was my first offense I ...blew a .17 and was looking at some harsh punishment for it.
