Having never needed or spoken to a criminal defense attorney in my life, i had no idea where or what to look for in an attorney. After checking out Mark's website and glowing reviews on this website, I decided to give his office a call for a consultation and I'm very grateful I did. In the first pho...ne conversation I felt confident enough to get a retainer. In what normally would be a stressful time, I was worryfree as I knew I had a competent, hard-working attorney on my case. He would keep me updated with emails and once called me from his office on a Sunday morning while he was working. He was able to get me into a diversion program and I never even had to show up to court. His experience as a former prosecutor is a great advantage and I would highly recommend anyone to at least consult with him to see if it's a good fit.

Attorney Mark Deniz and staff were the right team for my DUI case. They handled the entire process on my behalf. The staff was very polite and compassionate towards my unfortunate situation. I was afraid of receiving an unjust heavy handed punishment considering I was not even driving or on public roads when the incident occurred. In hindsight, I do feel I could have handled my situation in a much more intelligent and responsible manner but never thought I did get into all this trouble by being observed by some off-duty officers who were just looking out for the public's interest. But because I wasn’t actually driving I felt this made my case one worthy of challenging but needed an experienced attorney who knows how to navigate through the course of the necessary legal steps. I was absolutely clueless as to where to start and what to expect. I hadn’t had any moving infraction in 27 years. Mr. Deniz was able to get me a reduced sentence consisting of a 3 month DUI course on a restricted license, a short run on a daily breathalyzer, and a county fine. No other requirements were imposed on me. I thank God I found my Attorney Mark Deniz. I highly recommend him to anyone facing a DUI conviction. I have learned my lesson from this experience and I have vowed to never drink again, even casually or at any special occasion. Alcohol is something that I am more than happy to live without. 2 October 2017, I looked in Yelp, Google, and Avvo website for the best Criminal Lawyer in San Diego. I found so many Lawyers; I read all of their reviews and background. I didn’t know who to go with and who will fight for my innocence, until I picked Mark Deniz because he has the best reviews and my... gut was telling me something about him. When I called Mark Deniz, he listened to my situation and he explained everything with detail. He is a professional, great listener, knowledgeable, and personable. I choose Mark Deniz because of his experience, knowledge, and he knows the procedures of the courts in San Diego because he was a prosecutor. Reading his background than I knew I needed to hired him, and I knew he will fight for me. I was being charged with a felony because of a Domestic Violence for an argument I had with my wife. The Police Officer charged me with a felony because I was seen as the aggressor. The Police Officer said, “In every call we receive for domestic violence, we always take someone”. Well that someone is me, and not the woman. Imaging how I felt when I was taking into custody, and viewed as an aggressor by the Police Officer after he saw my spouse hit me. My bail was higher than my spouse, I felt like my world ended because no one will believe a female hit a male. Police Officer didn’t believe me and took into custody.
