Cole was incredible throughout the entire process. He always answered me immediately whether I reached out by call or text, and got back to me quickly regardless the seriousness of my question, I knew I was in such good hands. I was potenti...ally going to need to have an interlock device in my car, have to serve community service, and was also facing the loss of my license for an additional span of time. He was able to get the charges reduced where both the community service and interlock device were not required and the additional suspension of my license was reduced. I made a huge one time mistake in March of 2018 and knew my life would never be the same. Not only did I get into a severe roll over car accident due to my alcohol consumption, my young child was also in the vehicle. I’m ashamed to even admit that I myself put my child in danger that evening, but the...se were my reasonings for needing the skill set of somebody like Mr. Casey to represent me. Thankfully, my child was left unharmed which was obviously the most important thing to me. However, then I faced some serious charges as well as prison time. I’m also a single mother, never been away from my child, or been in any type of trouble, so this was all a lot for me to handle emotionally and mentally as well considering what I was facing moving forward with my life after this major mistake. Cole made several suggestions right away, and I followed all of them. Before the courts had even contacted us, I was in outpatient treatment 15 hours a week, attending AA, and more. I was relentless in trying to do whatever I could to prove to the courts that yes, I was guilty, but that I was extremely remorseful. Without Mr. Casey’s guidance from the very beginning stages following this accident, I doubt I would have received the outcome we did. It took several months for my paperwork to be processed, so prior to arraignment I had certificates and proof of sobriety to show. The process was terrifying to me, and Mr. Casey was always there to answer any questions and to advocate for me appropriately in court. He truly wanted to see me stay out of jail or prison and he did just that. On sentencing day, we had no clue if I would spend any actual custody time, which was scary, but he had helped to show the judge all of my hard work to rectify my mistake and instead of 1-6 years in prison was given a max of 30 days in county as a potential. On sentencing day, he represented me beautifully and I walked out of court that day with only community service, a year of parenting classes, and some restitution. I do have felony probation as well. But that would have been an outcome with or without serving jail time. I feel Mr Casey did his job as my lawyer and was always very communicative with me even if it was things I didn’t want to hear. I appreciate all of his recommendations and for his words at sentencing that helped to get us the outcome that we got. I was able to go home to my child, which ultimately was priceless. Once I’ve completed my community service, classes, and restitution Mr Casey has promised we will go back to court and ask to reduce my felony to a misdemeanor. I would recommend him and his expertise to anybody who needs the help of a talented and educated lawyer for your dui defense.
