DUI case review

My experience working with Vikas and Mark Marion on my DUI case was great. They were able to settle on a plea where I did not have to do the 5 days of public work service I would have had to do otherwise, and the were able to have .02 taken off my recorded BAC. They were always easy to reach and wo...uld return phone calls and emails usually within the same day.

TRO

Mr. Bajaj was a true professional at all times we met and went to court. He is one of the few honest lawyers you can actually trust. I consulted Mr. Bajaj back in late Nov. after my long term boyfriend's ex-wife decided to try and put a restraining order against me over false accusations she made abo...ut me where she involved her 5yr old child. The TRO was completely absurd and her accusations were a complete joke. However, she hired a lawyer because she was determined to make this absurd TRO a permanent RO. For this reason, I began searching for a lawyer and came across Mr. Bajaj who informed me how a RO could negatively impact my career as my position requires a clearance. Mr. Bajaj educated me on the things I had at risk that I had not been aware of and provided me with an effective solution and plan to clear my name. My first court hearing was held on the 23rd of Dec. where the judge we had been assigned seemed a little illogical on the decisions he was making in the cases before us. When our case came up, he surprisingly granted the petitioner a continuance being that they were "not prepared and were missing hard evidence against me". This caused a bigger stress in my family as we were unable to spend the holidays together and my boyfriend and I had to be coordinating the times I could arrive home, as we had been living together for about a year and he had 50% custody of his son - something the judge didn't care to consider. The petitioner requested a continuance for mid-Feb, but Mr. Bajaj was able to get our continuance within two weeks - shortly after the holidays. Our continuance was held on the 6th of Jan, where Mr. Bajaj had made a great judgment call to have a recorder present for our trial due to our assigned judge's irrational decisions and to be fully prepared if the need to appeal my case would be required. Initially, the judge wanted to simply issue an extended TRO verses moving to trial as this was the quickest solution for him to get home on a Friday afternoon. Having nothing to hide, I fought back and with Mr. Bajaj as my representative I demanded my case be heard and we moved to trial. After about 2.5hrs of questioning the petitioner, my witness (my bf) and her witness (her bf), the judge never bothered putting me on the stance and completely disregarded the TRO due to lack of evidence on the accusations being held against me. Mr. Bajaj made it clear how absurd the accusations against me had been and made it clear enough for the judge to see this was all due to jealousy from the petitioner towards me where I was never asked to go on the stance. In addition, we requested for my attorney fees to be reimbursed as it was unjust that I be given a TRO on top of a continuance during the holidays and given me all the financial and emotional stress due to someone's malicious acts due to jealousy. Of course, our judge didn't want to hear it and just wanted to go home. So, he requested we filed another motion for attorney fees. In April, we were given or court hearing for our motion for attorney fees where Mr. Bajaj once again presented him self in a very professional manner and did a great job representing me for the 3rd time and delivering the message of the injustice I had been put through. I honestly didn't expect a good outcome in our motion for attorney fees being that the judge had been a bit questionable, but we recently learned that the judge, shockingly, granted for my full attorney fees to be paid back. I continue to be in disbelief as our judge was not a very logical one and I only have Mr. Bajaj to thank. I will not deny that there were occasions where I felt my emails were not being read or my messages were not being delivered every time I called his firm, but I can now tell you I was wrong. Allow Mr. Bajaj to do his job, trust him, be honest and he will represent you as needed. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Bajaj to anyone who is placed in a unjust position as I was without hesitation.

Mr. Bajaj handled my domestic violence case with great professionalism, went above and beyond his role as just a lawyer

Mr. Bajaj and his law firm were amazing! Every step of the way they were very helpful and supportive. I was originally charged with felony on domestic violence charges. Mr. Bajaj was able to successfully negotiate with the prosecutor and my case was resolved to a much reduced charge of domestic batte...ry with probation and no jail time. I could not have asked for a better result. I really liked how Mr. Bajaj aggressively negotiated with the prosecutor all the way up to my trial readiness hearing. He always kept me informed on the progress of my case and took my phone calls promptly. I highly recommend Mr. Bajaj, a true professional. Thank you again!

Extremely Professional and Knowledgeable

I came to Vikas Bajaj during a time of need when I had no idea how to handle my case. He took control of the situation and put my worries to rest. Mr. Bajas is one of the most professional people I have ever met. In the courtroom, it was evident that even his peers and the judge had a lot of respe...ct for him. On top of that, he is extremely knowledgeable and knows the laws inside and out. He will be sure to find the best possible solution to your case. After my case was settled, Mr. Bajaj was very helpful in answering followup questions that I had. While it is unfortunate that I had to go to court in the first place, I'm glad I had Vikas Bajaj by my side during that tough time. Outstanding!!!

I was recently charged with a crime I did not commit, I've never been in any sort of criminal trouble before and did not know where to turn, my bail bondsman referred me to attorney Vik Bajaj. The day I walked into his office, I knew he was the guy who could get me justice. He welcomed me with open ...arms and worked diligently with me to get the charges dropped. He is very professional and knows his stuff! There was a lot of travel involved with my case and mr Bajaj was able to coordinate court dates with my work schedule and he ultimately got a complete dismissal of all my charges. It was a very trying time for me and was the most stressful 3 months of my life, I cannot express enough how happy I am now with the results mr Bajaj got for me. He really understood my situation and I feel as though I gained a friend as well as an outstanding attorney.
