Here is why: -He wins more DMV cases than any lawyer I have ever heard of. Remember you have TWO hea...rings whenever you get arrested and charged with a DUI. A court hearinf and a DMV hearing. The DMV comes first usually and they give you TEN DAYS to even request a hearing or they will AUTOMATICALLY suspend your license and you are screwed. -He answers emails and other communication immediately...often out of business hours. He is the most responsive lawyer I have ever dealt with. -He is a SHARK in the courtroom (where he needs to be) but a VERY KIND HUMAN being with his clients. Rick is one of those rare attorneys who actually understands and cares that his clients are going through a lot of terror and turmoil. He is very compassionate and understanding and often acts as a sort of therapist (or "nice father figure" at least) as well as a Laywer when you are up a creek with a DUI. -He KNOWS the law. Rick has WORKED EXTENSIVELY on both sides of the DUI SYSTEM and understands the prosecutors' role as well as the defending attorneys' role. This is invaluable when it comes to choosing a good DUI attorney. -HE IS HONEST. He will tell you if your case is even slightly winnable or not. He will refer you if you need more of a specialist (a jury trial specialist for example) and is less interested in money than he is in really helping you out. -He NEVER gives up. My case dragged on for 10 months and we finally got the outcome we wanted. It took about 8 stays and constant plea bargaining but we did it.
