Mr. Shapiro was a great attorney who was very communicative, reassuring, and stellar at his job. He calmed my anxiety about my DUI / Possession case and was able to work out a more than agreeable resolution to it. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Shapiro listened to all I had to say as I explained the situation to him. He was kind, helpful and insightful to the situation at hand and gave the advise needed for me. Always stayed in contact throughout my case with me and my family.

I found myself in a awkward situation where I needed legal representation. Out of all the phone call's I made Mr. Shapiro stood out the most by offering solutions on how to go about my case. After I hired him the process went smoothly. My case was resolved in the end thanks to the guidance of Mr. Shapiro. I strongly recommend him, you wont be disappointed.

My son had gotten himself into legal trouble. He already had 8+ outstanding misdemeanor charges and was now facing a felony charge. He was potentially facing 3 years and a strike. Living on the opposite end of the state I needed to find an attorney by using internet searches and reviews. The first conversation with Mr Shapiiros office convinced me I had found the right place. They worked with me as far as fees, they were very responsive to my phone calls, and extremely compassionate. The first phone call with Mr Shapiro went well he had already reviewed my sons case and had a preliminary game plan. I definitely felt that my son was in good hands. using his expertise he managed too guide us through the legal nightmare. The communication was excellent Via phone calls and emails I was updated after every court case. The office staff is freindly and helpfull, and Mr Shapiro promptly returned calls and answered my questions. My son ended up with a misdemeanor and time served. We were thrilled this was a way better outcome than we expected. My son was able too come home. And work on his recovery and is now working full time. A complete success story.
I would highly recommend this attorney.

David and his staff did an excellent job managing all aspects of my case. He and his staff are professional, courteous, and do their best to take care of their client’s needs. When I had initially called for a consultation they were prompt with a response. They answered my questions regarding my case, explained what my options were, and had developed a game plan during our first phone call. He has a very reasonable pricing. When dealing with either David or his support staff I felt that they always had my best interests in mind. I would definitely use their services in the future if the need arises. I would definitely recommend his legal services to any friends and family in the San Diego area.

From our first consultation, David was nothing but professional, informative and caring, making a very humiliating and scary situation bearable. As the case progressed, he worked diligently to reduce my sentence to a much lesser degree, keeping me informed every step of the way. In comparison, other friends that have received DUIs had horrific experiences with their lawyers, and at the end paid dearly. I found a good one, he was a rock during this episode in my life, never condescending, always helpful, polite and fair. Then years later, when I wanted to get my record expunged, he handled it quickly and effectively. There are many types of DUI lawyers out there, but when you're in need, choose wisely. I highly recommend David.

I found Mr. Shapiro after posting a question about my case and he was one of the few in the surrounding area that answered. After shopping around for other attorneys that dealt with expungement cases, Mr. Shapiro seemed to be the best choice. He is straightforward and explains everything clearly.
He may appear to be very busy, but don't worry, you will still receive the attention and service of a top notch laywer. I wanted to reduce my felony to a misdemeanor, terminate probation early, and expunge it. With the aid of Mr. Shapiro, the whole process went by smoothly and all three were granted without hesitation.
Thank you Mr. Shapiro

Mr. Shapiro was integral in preventing charges from being filed against me involving false accusations of domestic violence. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. I would strongly recommend him to anyone in need of defense lawyer. An all around great guy!

David and his staff are some of the best people I have worked with. I walked in with a DV case, and not only were they understanding but very informative about what was to come. Being in the situation, as charged with a criminal offense really set me to an all time emotional low. I was reassured by the staff that everything would be taken care of and that I was in good hands. They were right. I provided some supporting documentation to help with the pre-case negotiations and David did the rest. My case was DROPPED! David also made it very affordable to be his client, and many attorneys are not so open to payment plans and other terms for retention. I am so thankful that I found David through avvo.com. There are many options, I called at least a dozen, and I am 100% satisfied. David and his staff are very responsive, always able to answer the phone or send you an email. I know David works late nights because he has personally emailed me after hours. He knows the system, he knows network, and he will help you!! He always called once he found out something new, and was never annoyed when I called him for an update in between. David has the professionalism and respect from the peers in his area, often which takes 20+ years to obtain. If you are faced with a charge, give him a call. I initially met with David M., who also was A+ in my opinion. He was also very knowledgeable and amendable. He took great notes which made me confident that my case was taken in full seriousness. If I could even find one thing wrong with anything, it was that they opened the door at 1:03PM, after there announced break from 12-1PM. You can't get a better person on your side, get David!!

I unfortunately was involved in a non-injury driving under the influence accident in April of this year. I just wanted to go to court and plead guilty because I was. My wife went on-line and found Mr. David P. Shapiro. He had high ratings and I watched his video. I liked the way he presented himself, so we scheduled an appointment to discuss the circumstances. His Office Manager, David and assistant Elizabeth were very kind and professional. They gathered the details of my incident and scheduled a conference with Mr. Shapiro. My wife and I met with him and we were very favorably impressed. He appeared in court on my behalf, both for the arraignment and to speak with the assistant district attorney as to a disposition. Based on my high blood alcohol and the accident the options for me were pretty limited. Nevertheless, Mr. Shapiro negotiated the most favorable terms I could have asked for. I am now moving through the rest of the process of this mess that I caused. I pray nobody should find themselves in a situation like this; however, if you are, please know Mr. Shapiro will provide you the best defense and great peace of mind during a very difficult time. You should not face this without competent legal representation. He won't sugar coat anything. He will be direct and honest, which is what one would really want. I greatly appreciate his kindness and professionalism, as well as that of his staff, and would recommend him to anyone facing unfavorable legal circumstances.
