When my wife and I first walked into Anna Yum’s office we were frightened and desperate. What had started out as a “simple” accusation, that I believed I could manage by myself, evolved into an encyclopedia of accusations, irrelevance, wishful thinking, exaggeration and flat outright lies. I knew I didn’t have a clue as to how to approach this mountain of material and needed help. Up to this point in my life, Matlock and Perry Mason were as close as I had gotten to what it might be like to be a defendant in a courtroom. Thankfully, I stumbled across the website of The Law Offices of Anna Yum and immediately felt that this was the right place for us.
We arranged for a consultation and subsequently met with Christopher Lucero, an associate attorney. He reviewed our documents, listened intently to our story, and questioned us about some of the facts in the case. Towards the end of our meeting, he told us that their firm did not routinely handle cases like ours. We were disappointed and felt rather bleak, but then, he added that he would be speaking to Anna Yum about us and we could expect a call in the morning as to whether they would take our case. Later in the afternoon, we received a call from Chris who informed us that Anna Yum had given the green light to for him to proceed with our case, while she would do her own part in the background. We were elated.
There is so much more to say than what I can possibly include in this review; so, I will spare you and get to point. First and foremost, Christopher Lucero succeeded at getting this case dismissed on all three counts. That is reason enough to post a positive review. But Chris did so much more for us than simply “win a case.” He also cared, genuinely, about my wife and myself. He supported us beyond our expectations throughout this extremely stressful process and we are extremely grateful.
Professionally, Chris was organized, and thorough. Once we were inside the courtroom, he was simply awesome! He had sorted out all of the complexities of our case and arrived at a precise understanding of what was, and was not, relevant. His presentation to the judge was precise and well stated; he clearly illustrated how the case against us was not supported by the evidence. When the judge announced his verdict, I really understood what it means to have a ‘weight’ lifted off your shoulder.
We are so grateful; so appreciative of the kindness and expertise of Christopher Lucero and Anna Yum. Additionally, Elizabeth and all the other staff who dealt with us were continually understanding and accommodating; we truly felt cared for by all of you.
Thank you, thank you, so much
