I had domestic violence misdemeanor on my record and due to this I was unable to pass background check for new job opportunities. In such cases it becomes a "he said/she said" situation and the police are obligated to charge someone when called. In most cases they side with the woman for safety and caution if the facts are unclear. They did so in this case even though I had called them for help.
