In such cases it becomes a "he said/she said" situation and the police are obligated to charge someone when called. In most cases they side with the woman for safety and caution if the facts are unclear. They did so in this case even though I had called them for help. My arrest and pending prosecution was an extremely traumatic event for me. I was worried about my employment, reputation, financial losses, and physical safety. He also never promised an outcome, but told me the probability that my case would be dismissed due to the circumstances and why things happened the way they did.
