A heated custody battle for my children led to a false accusation from my ex as a way to check-mate me, regardless of how bad this would hurt the children. To add insult to injury, CPS made a series of assumptions based on unverified allegations by the other party, leading them to nearly release a ...very damaging (but entirely false) finding against me. Mr. Tate sliced and diced statements by CPS and found all of the holes, contradictions and straight up non-sense in CPS's arguments. If left unchecked this would've ruined my life. This entire process took about 1.5 years to resolve (mainly because my witness did not show up and I had to request a continuance!!! so plan for that too!), but in the end, I got the results I deserved and was removed from CACI. Mr Tate took the time to identify all the key facts of my case and even sat down with me to review and prepare for the hearing. Each session was 3-4 hours, reviewing documentations and the best possible angles to tackle the issue. By the time we showed up to the hearing I felt quite confident as to what was going to take place and at not point I felt lost. I called Attorney Lounsbery back sometime ago. He quoted me a price of 3,000 for a fixed rate/flat fee for 3 months of representation on my divorce and custody case on the phone and when I got down to his office he said the cost was 5,000. This was after he wrote up our contract. I came to him lat...e in the game and had a court appearance in a couple weeks. I told him my concern and he stated he did not raise the rate on me. I felt desperate and paid the 5,000 for 3 months. In my contract it was 1,000 a month for every month after the 3 month period. I paid him 1 extra month after the 3 month period and asked him what he did to get my case done and he had made 1 phone call to my ex's attorney. This outrageous billing started even though I showed up with the divorce already started. I signed off and was never sent my file. You can do better then Tate!
