Saam Borhani is the manager of Borhani & Pejman's criminal defense practice department. He began his criminal defense career on the defense team at the Special Court for Sierra Leone, working behind the scenes of one of the most important international criminal cases in a generation. With a graduate degree in international diplomacy in addition to his law degree, Mr. Borhani has extensive skills in negotiation that he utilizes in courtrooms across California in defense of his clients. Mr. Borhani's experience ranges from defending accused gang members to being a noted expert in commercial license defense. He is an ardent defender of his clients' rights in opposition to over-zealous prosecutors, insurance companies trying to keep injured people from becoming whole, and government agencies not abiding by the Constitution.
Mr. Borhani has been recognized by several organizations as being among the leading young defense attorneys in California. He has been highlighted as a multi-year "Rising Star" in Super Lawyer Magazine, a distinction awarded to the top 2.5% of California attorneys. He regularly volunteers his time for speaking engagements at universities such as UCLA, community events, and places of worship.
