Thompson v. Oregon Mutual

Case Conclusion Date: 01.15.2013

Practice Area: Insurance

Outcome: The insurers paid what they were supposed to!

Description: Incredibly complex Underinsured motorist case which involved only "potential" Medicare reimbursement claims. The 3rd party insurer refused to disclose policy limits and ended up paying policy limits in a short time limit demand. The Underinsured Motorist Claim was further complicated by the doctrine of "pro rated" insurance. Both insurers agreed to settle the case rather than face an insurance "bad faith" action.
