Anthony B. Gordon (Tony) is a seasoned litigation attorney with over 30 years of experience. Since 1997, Tony has been practicing in Woodland Hills, California, where he has focused his practice on matters involving business disputes and commercial and civil litigation.
Tony received his legal education at the University of Witwatersrand School of Law in Johannesburg, South Africa. During the 12 years that he practiced in South Africa, Tony gained experience as a prosecutor in the criminal courts. He was then seconded to the Attorney General's staff as a State Advocate, where he prosecuted capital cases in the Supreme Courts of both theTransvaal and Natal Provincial Divisions. In 1972, he joined the Johannesburg Bar where he practiced as a barrister, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of different types of cases, both criminal and civil.
Tony and his wife and law partner, Linda, immigrated to California in 1982. Tony commenced practice in the litigation department at O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, where he gained experience working on "mega-type cases" such as the Toxic Shock Syndrome litigation, the Coordinated Asbestos Insurance Coverage Case in San Francisco, and the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill trial in Anchorage, Alaska. Tony has handled international litigation that has taken him to Israel, London, Jersey, Guernsey and Amsterdam. He has experience in copyright infringement, business torts such as fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, sham tax shelters, RICO claims, malpractice and insurance coverage and bad faith actions.
