Susan Harriet Ratzkin

I have not had experience with attorneys but I do know a terrible one when I see it. Ms Ratzkin was my court appointed attorney in a juvenile proceeding. She failed miserably. She did not answer my phone calls, did not return emails and disregarded any information I had for her to review in order to ...represent me. Needless to say, I lost my case. I had a pre trial and a trial on the same day. She was not prepared to represent me, as she had done nothing! No discovery no witnesses, nothing! She asked me a few simple questions to give the impression that she was doing her job. While I was being interrogated by the opposing attorney, she did not object to his line of questioning or the tone in that was used. The judge didn't either. I'm CONVINCED that Ms Ratzkin is a lousy attorney, hired by the county and will do nothing to EXPOSE the wrongdoings of the county social worker and the judge who also has done wrong in this case! It is a coverup. Do not hire Ms Ratzkin, even if you are desperate! You'll do better representing yourself!

A true sole practitioner when I hired her, she was involved in several active cases. My case needed more time and supportof a more aggressive approach with the ability to multi task and make use of all of the mobile, up to the minute ability to respond, and electronic documentation technology availab...le. That lack created problems for me but I can say she probably has a wonderful face to face approach for less complicated matters.
