This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
Renay’s comment: “NOTE: I became medically ill with female issues which nearly caused my death. As a result in 2001 I was forced to abandon my law practice. I was given mitigating circumstances for which I graduated from the Lawyers Assistance Program and suspension was deferred until 2007. So even though I got sick in 2001 and things fell apart, I didn't actually get suspended until six years later.”
A censure or reprimand issued by the Supreme Court or the State Bar Court that is not a matter of public record unless imposed after the initiation of formal disciplinary proceedings. No period of suspension is imposed. The reproval may be imposed with duties or conditions.
Renay’s comment: “This was all part of the same illness that resulted in the 2007 Suspension. Note that I resolved this issue with the Bar myself not realizing that more issues would come up later for all the same reasons.”

I was looking through a lot of reviews for an attorney to help me with my Landlord issue. I found some heart felt reviews about how she helped others in my situation. So I think it is my responsibility to tell the world. She has changed my perception of lawyers: we need more attorneys like her in this country. Grace walked me through my legal options, was very friendly and easy to talk to. She was reasonable on price. Arlene is great and working with the rest of the team was a great experience. I highly recommend her and her team if your in need of attorney.

I have been in business for over 20 years. With a downturn in the economy we have been struggling and on the brink of disaster. We consulted with Ms. Rodriguez about a strategy to solve the business problems we had been having. Without revealing any of our business strategy or attorney client privileged information, she helped us formulate a plan that now after eight months is really working. The plan has exceeded our expectations and we are going great once again. I can't thank Attorney Rodriguez enough for her creativity, experience and patience as we struggled to learn new things and implement new processes. I would highly recommend Attorney Rodriguez for all your legal matters.

Highly recommend for any legal advice, but especially for bankruptcy cases. I have been battling with my bank for years to try to keep my home and have paid several lawyers only to make the situation upside down.
My bankruptcy advisor (a retired lawyer) happened to find R. Grace Rodriguez, and in just a few days, she was able to turn things right side up again.
I can't thank her ENOUGH for all the work she has done on my case. While I am still awaiting a confirmation from the judge, I am just so happy that she was able to not get the case dismissed, which is what all the other lawyers said it would come down to.
The day of my hearing, she passed around flyers to for a workshop that she and others were organizing to keep lawyers informed about the bankruptcy process. She is not a selfish woman who wants to keep her knowledge to herself to profit off of it; she wants to share what she knows to those who want to learn.
I will always keep her in mind for any further legal advise, and will adamantly recommend her to ANYONE who is thinking about filing for bankruptcy.

She is highly knowledgeable about real estate matters, bankruptcy and a whole host of other legal areas. She is passionate and she always advocates zealously for her clients. Everyone in the community knows Renay. She is well-liked and respected among bankruptcy attorneys.

Renay Grace Rodriguez demonstrates extensive knowledge and experience in a wide variety of legal matters, particularly with respect to real estate and bankruptcy issues. Her responses on Avvo are remarkably thoughtful, articulate and straightforward. I have tremendous respect for her sound legal knowledge and ability to communicate that knowledge. She is a true asset to our legal community. It is my pleasure to endorse her. (Don't let her Avvo rating discourage you from hiring her!)
