Jay was wonderful - put my mind at ease about my student loan debt and also put me on a direct track to repayment. Wish I had done this years ago!

The appointment/scheduling person, Beth (lovely) helped me make an appointment with Jay, who is the partner in the firm who handles student loan lawsuits (private/public). David handles bankruptcy. Forget how I exactly came across their firms' number.
My phone call with Jay on January 24, 2017 cost $150 and it was totally worth it. He was generous with his time, detailed in his explanations and good about taking me through the "narrative/timeline" of the various stages of the lawsuit, telling me the different options that'd be avaiable to me along the way. He asked questions, wasn't offended or impatient when I asked him questions, and had a sense of humor, too - which is appreciated when handling matters that can be daunting.
I've hired him and will be moving forward with him as counsel, so we will see what happens next. But I have a good feeling about it and so far, so good.

Jay was able to answer questions about my student loans that no one has ever been been able to assist me with. I highly recommend him and will plan to use him again if ever needed. I finally feel confident that I choose the correct path in regards to my student loan payback plan.

Jay did a full anaylisis of my federal student loans. Showed me how to save a lot of money on my federal loans and what my options are. He gave me solid advice on my private student loans. He took the fear out of me and did it in a funny anectdotal way. I have a clear path of action now. The time he spent with me was invaluable. He really knows his stuff!

It was really nice actually talking with someone who knows more about student loans than I do! I suspect this won't be the last time I talk with him. If you are on the fence about scheduling a phone call, let me tell you that it is worth it. He suggested a game-plan that I hadn't even considered, even with my extensive research.

The consultation fee is well worth the honest and frank advice and information provided by jay on my brothers private and federal loans. I recommend him to anyone needing clear, concise info that can move people in the right direction.

I have been doing so much research on bankruptcy and met with 2 lawyers prior to speaking with Mr. Fleischman (Jay). First off, his assistant, Beth, is extremely helpful and organized. I received frequent emails, reminders, alerts and general info on the whole process. The consultation itself was extremely detailed and Jay offered so much information than what I got from the last 2 lawyers. He answered all my questions, and offered ongoing Q&A, post-consultation, if necessary. I did not feel rushed at all, as he took his time explaining bankruptcy as a whole. Given that I personally struggle with making this final decision, Jay's consultation put me much at ease and gave me the info I needed to make a decision.
I personally look forward to the audio recording that will be sent to me. This is a GREAT service! I can review the recording and review all info discussed.
When you think of free consultations vs. paid consultations; you get what you pay for! His fee is fair and very much worth it.
Thank you Jay!

I've been struggling for the past year and a half to make sense of a private student loan snafu. I finally decided to swallow my pride and talk to a professional. After paying a very reasonable $150 consultation fee, I scheduled a 30 minute consultation with Jay. His office sent me an email outlining the documents I should have on hand before the consultation, which I appreciated. His secretary called me 24 hours beforehand to confirm our reservation and ensure that I had access to the documents I needed. Within that half-hour, Jay answered every question I had in its entirety, gave me tips for moving forward, and allayed overblown fears of mine. I would (and have) recommended him without reservation to anyone in California who needs help making sense of their student loans. If I ever need help in this area again, he will be the first person I call.

IF you choose to DIY anything I would highly suggest giving yourself PLENTY of time if ever trying to deal with Federal loan servicer(s). Retained Jay (S&F) to arrange for my Loan Rehab. It is my hope all will go smoother now.

TBH I wasn't sure there was any law service out there that really did seek to help former students in dire need of guidance. Then, I stumbled upon Jay's site & watched a couple of his vids.
Jay quickly told me: "don't freak out" about my situation. This was exactly what I needed to hear. Also, he told me what I could do and that I could DIY it. I am applying what tools/language he gave me right now... I can finally see some light at the end of this tunnel.
Big thanks to Jay and Beth!
