Lack of fee transparency – proceed with caution

I hired attorney Paul Cheng to handle a civil claim valued at $35,000. He recommended litigation, and within a few months, billed me over $60,000. The case did not substantially advance during that period. After switching attorneys, the matter was resolved for approximately the original claim amount ...within one month. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. I have retained all emails, billing records, and communications. This review is a factual account of my experience and is not intended as defamation. $35,000 Case, Over $60,000 in Fees

Hired for a $35,000 case. Paid over $60,000 in legal fees, but little progress was made. Switched attorneys, case settled for the same $35,000 in a month. Would not recommend.
