Unauthorized Charges

I did not personally hire McCready Law Group — my mother did. However, my credit card was used in connection with this matter without my authorization, and I am currently disputing charges exceeding $3,000. When I raised concerns about the unauthorized charges and initiated a dispute, I received c...ommunications from the firm that escalated the situation rather than resolving it professionally. The messages included allegations of fraud and statements indicating they would pursue criminal complaints if the chargebacks were not reversed immediately. As someone with documented disabilities and who relies on a service dog for medical support, the tone and escalation of these communications caused significant stress during an already difficult situation. My experience was that billing concerns were not handled in a clear or professional manner, and instead became confrontational and pressure-driven. I am sharing this so others are aware to carefully monitor authorization, billing practices, and communication style in any engagement.

Connor did authorize the charges. This was investigated by a third party agency that reviews these complaints and the ruling was in my favor. The State Bar has not taken any action on Connor's complaints, in part because of the evidence that I have that he authorized the charges. The client in question was his mother. His mother came to my office with her son, Connor. Connor authorized the charges at my office and again over the phone. I didn't steal his credit card and the accusation that I somehow got ahold of his credit card without his permission and charged it is beyond ridiculous. Connor and his mom have perpetrated similar scams with other attorneys and with the Orange County Superior Court. Connor's mother was reprimanded by a commissioner with the Orange County Superior Court for perpetrating a fraud on the court. These two work as a team and all professionals should be aware of how they get people to do work for them and then try to scam the very people who worked hard for them. Ultimately, I refused to continue representing Connor's mother because she had lied to me too many times and gotten caught lying to me and to the court.

WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY WITHOUT RESULTS!

I hired the McCready law firm after the appellate court vacated my convictions and tossed the evidence away. Basically, The DA refilled without having a case anymore. My charges were dismissed even though Zachary McCready did nothing but postpone. but NOW MY COURT RECORD SHOWS a CONVICTION OF vc2315...2F from the date of the dismissed charges! After texting back and forth with Mr. McCready himself, He is refusing to correct his own mistake unless I give him more money on top of the 24K I already paid. He refused to give me my Court Minute Order after I asked for it repeatedly! Say bye-bye to your retainer before you pay it. They went through my money like drinking water. I audited my $25,000+ bill and I found CRAZY CHARGES: - 09/28/22 I was billed $1,575 when the first attorney Mr.Ynda showed up in court to talk to me about taking the case (I had a public defender representing me) - I was billed for an imaginary jail visit by Mr. Ynda - 09/30/22 I was billed $700 for an attorney (Mr. Ynda) coming to take my signature for the retainer. - 10/21/22 I was billed ($875) for a jail visit just to take another signature (by Mr. Ynda) - 10/04/22 I was billed $1,365 for another court appearance to take the case and postpone. (Mr. Ynda) - 12/02/22 I was billed over $1,575 for Zachary driving from Long Beach to Riverside County Superior Court to ask for an extension for me in court due to the only attorney he had in Riverside County (Mr.Ynda) "Great Attorney" leaving his office in the middle of the case. - 11/22/22 I was billed $25-$50-$75’s for every text message between the secretary Miss Siobhan who left his office too and my wife or between employees - 11/25/22I was billed $50-$100 for every few minutes of phone call with the secretary - I was billed $35-$50 for text messages between the secretary and the replacement attorney who's covering up for having nobody to work on my case “running late, she arrived, she's leaving, the result” Each message different charges - 11/01/22 I was billed $200 for them receiving ONE E-MAIL from my appellate attorney. -12/13/22 I was billed 2K+ ($735+$665+$525+$500) for the court appearance of the house arrest motion which he did without me present! I was not escorted to my court date, he left 7 members of my family waiting from 8:30 as scheduled until 1:30pm when he showed up, he didn't stick to the plan I had with Mr.Ynda before he left his office on how to attack my last hope of house arrest motion by bringing my family and statements. He ignored all that and made the motion without me or my family present. He didn't do much. When I confronted him, he replied “they denied your bail motion.” The motion was for HOUSE ARREST! He kept making up lies to cover it.$ 12/02/22 I was billed $1,575 for a court appearance for the motion to compel because ZACHARY DROVE FROM FV TO RIVERSIDE BECAUSE HIS ATTORNEY LEFT HIM! 01/11/23 I was billed $1,805 when Attorney Miss. Ashley showed up to cover for Zachary McGreedy at a hearing (He billed me for her driving 3+ hours at $350 and $450 an hour) Mr.Zachary McCready lied to me repeatedly and made me feel I had a super team working for me. In fact he knew nothing about my case, he showed up to court unprepared. Postponing was his Best Friend. I was incarcerated for 9 months more than my max sentence because he was never ready to go! I contacted him couple weeks ago regarding the wrong conviction on my record from the charges he represented me on (the charges were dismissed and my record is showing a conviction) He had my case wrong, he had my charges wrong, and even had the resolution of my case wrong. Then he asked me to pay for another retainer for him to FIX HIS OWN MISTAKES. (PS): I never terminated their service. Then he dismissed me after I refused to budge and pay him more money. I am willing to show you my Final Bill if you want and even share my Case and text messages with you, and you be the judge! Thank you.

Money Spent Zero Results

A dealership made a false report against me for Grand Theft to the authorities. They illegally came to my residence pulled me out of my home and arrested me without a warrant . They searched my vehicle without my consent and confiscated the release invoice that was hand delivered to me at the dealers...hip. They also impounded my vehicle and held it for evidence. The arresting officer even aplogized as he expressed to me that he was just following orders from above but knew it was not legal basis to kidnap me without a warrant. I paid Mr. Mcready to get police department to release my vehicle. Mr. Mcready failed to protect my rights, failed to have the courts release my vehicle and most importantly failed to inform me that i have a strong case against the dealership and police department . The DA office dropped all charges. I still ended up paying bails bond , lost my vehicle and hire another attorney who ended up not needing to represent my case since they dropped charges. Overall i made a mistake hiring this attorney.

I did a search of every case that I have handled for the past 11 years (I opened my practice in 2011). I am now 100% confident that I have never been hired by anyone named Ozzy. That also applies to people with names like "Oswald" and "Oswaldo" that often use Ozzy as a nickname. I went further and checked to see if I had ever represented anyone who had received a grand theft report from a dealership. I could not find a single case that matched that description. I do not know who this person is but I am 100% confident that s/he never hired me. If s/he is a real person and has a real issue with the way that his/her case was handled, s/he has my phone number and can either request a refund of any unearned fees or s/he can give me some more info so that I can locate the case and figure out what happened. His/her complaint is inconsistent with over 700 online reviews that I have received on this website, google, and several other review websites. I don't believe that it is a real review and I will publicly apologize if it turns out that I am wrong and this is a real review from a real client and not a fake review from one of my competitors or a disgruntled former employee seeking revenge.

Vehicle Accident Case..

Would not recommend. Hired him throughout my brothers recommendation. After our meeting, he never responded back to my emails or told me how should proceed with my case, after he told we he would after reviewing the case. What a waste of time..

This person never retained me as his lawyer. He asked me for help in finding a private investigator which I did. The reason why he did not get my calls after he hired me was that his phone was disconnected. Come on, man!

mislead

a 26yr old felony kept me from a firearm purchase and he told me it just needs to be expunged and all the "penalties and disabilities" will disappear and i'll be able to purchase a firearm. what he didnt say was it doesn't work. i could have cared less about the expungement and paying the fee to get ...it done. i just wanted my firearm rights restored

I got his felony conviction reduced to a misdemeanor and then expunged. I correctly advised him that under 1203.4 of the California Penal Code his guilty plea would be changed to a not guilty plea and he would be generally released from all penalties and disabilities of the conviction. This client wanted me to specifically advise him on how the expungement would affect his right to purchase a gun in Nevada and I repeatedly advised him to consult a Nevada attorney on this issue.
