mislead

a 26yr old felony kept me from a firearm purchase and he told me it just needs to be expunged and all the "penalties and disabilities" will disappear and i'll be able to purchase a firearm. what he didnt say was it doesn't work. i could have cared less about the expungement and paying the fee to get ...it done. i just wanted my firearm rights restored

I got his felony conviction reduced to a misdemeanor and then expunged. I correctly advised him that under 1203.4 of the California Penal Code his guilty plea would be changed to a not guilty plea and he would be generally released from all penalties and disabilities of the conviction. This client wanted me to specifically advise him on how the expungement would affect his right to purchase a gun in Nevada and I repeatedly advised him to consult a Nevada attorney on this issue.

Saved my life!

Zack did an amazing job for me and was very honest and detailed and kept me up to date throughout my case. Keeping in contact was very convenient and even talked to me via texting. Originally I was facing a Robbery charge and then he got it knocked down to grand theft (from a strikable to a non strik...able charge) and then 2 years later I came back for him to help me again by cutting my probation short and getting my case dismissed. 1 month later, I'm finally off! Zack gave me the feeling that he actually cared for my case and didn't mess around when I would ask direct questions. Very professional and very helpful. Oh yeah and Im from texas too so my sister found Zack through Avvo because of ratings and he surpassed expectations. I have had horrible to average lawyers before, that didn't really care and didn't keep me in the loop but Zack was different. I would definitely recommend Zack again.

I almost lost my life... the way this system works.

I hired Zack McCready when I was charged with three felonies including one count of felony brandishing and two counts of criminal threats. The public defender wanted me to plea guilty to all three counts. I made it clear to Mr. McCready that I wasn’t interested in hiring a lawyer who would try to get... me to plea guilty to things that I didn’t do. I wanted to hire an attorney who wasn’t afraid to take on the prosecutor and force him to either put his witnesses on the stand or drop the charges. Ultimately, Mr. McCready organized a plea bargain deal that kept me out of jail and kept me from having to go to trial. This saved me thousands of dollars and gave me my life back. I have recommended him to several of my friends since then and I am recommending him to you. - Christopher

Not guilty of domestic violence!

Mr. Zack McCready is a great attorney. He kept me informed regularly of what was going on. He beat a domestic violence charge against me at a jury trial. I was very worried about getting convicted. He prepared for trial and showed me that he is a man of his word when it comes to fighting hard.
