No one ever dreams of trying to find an attorney to represent you one day. Unfortunately that was the case with me. Facing my 2nd DUI, and it was a pretty bad case. A few months ago I was arrested for a second DUI within ten years (third total) and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. To make matters worse a warrant had resurfaced from ten years back for driving without a license. I contacted my previous lawyer and he said I would do three to six months in count...y jail on each of the charges. This lawyer was obviously not willing to fight for me in court but I retained him anyway in a panic feeling like I had no other option. Let’s see…I’ll start off by saying, that I’m a normal God-fearing, taxpaying citizen of the United States. However, my world was suddenly flipped upside down after I was charged with two false criminal charges. Entering a completely new world, I did the best homework I could, including “interviewin...g” 4 criminal defense attorneys in person, and many more over the phone. I also did extensive online and referral research to weed out prospects. Money was not an issue because my primary concern was hiring the most competent attorney possible; however, through my research, I found that Mr. Arzili’s rates fall toward the middle of the spectrum. During the “interview” process, I was most impressed by Mr. Arzili’s refusal to make any grandiose claims simply based on the limited information I gave him. For all you people who are new to the criminal court system, as the defendant, you know NOTHING based on simply a police report and your arrest.
