Prince v. CLS Transportation, Inc. (2004), 118 Cal. App. 4th 1320, rev. den’d 2004 Cal. LEXIS 7524 (Aug. 11, 2004)

Practice Area: Employment and labor

Outcome: Limousine chauffeurs settle for over $1 Million

Description: Limousine chauffeurs filed a class action lawsuit, claiming they were not paid for all hours worked. The trial judge threw out the class action before it was ever heard by a jury. David Mallen and his legal team fought even harder. On appeal, the California Court of Appeal reinstated the case, which ultimately settled to the satisfaction of hundreds of chauffeurs.
