Shirazi Law Firm turned my life around!

Shirazi Law Firm is incredible! I came to them almost a year ago about a sexual harassment case. I was referred by someone who knew them and their skill set well. We got the ball rolling with my case then after a few months I got cold feet, I told them I didn’t want to follow through and they underst...ood. I went back to the place where I was wrongfully harassed because the person was removed from the location but when I came back they treated me very poorly. They were retaliating in many different ways. I got the courage to call Mr. Shirazi again and he said let’s take care of this, no one deserves to be treated this way. He cared about my case and was very sensitive to the subject matter. He is professional and reliable. We continued the lawsuit and I am so happy I did because they made the whole process so easy. Mr Shirazi and his team took everything into their own hands and every few weeks I would get an update of how things were going. He was accessible when I had any questions or concerns and he guided me through the whole thing. He knows what he is doing and he does it well. We settled my case and I wouldn’t have done this with anyone else. They are a great firm!

Best Wrongful Termination Lawyer

Mr. Shirazi has to be the best lawyer I have ever met. For the past year and a half he has been fighting my former employer, tooth and nail. He has had to see a judge numerous time to force my former employer to hand over documents and recordings and even to get them to attend their depositions which... they kept canceling the night before. Despite all the trouble he had to go through with my case, he was patient with me and made sure I felt safe through the entire process. Even when I was scared to see my former supervisor because that person had harrasses me so much, Mr. Shirazi calmly assured me everything would be ok. He even resolved my case before I had to have my deposition. And during the depositions of my former employer, Mr. Shirazi caught every little discrepancy and every little contradiction. During mediation, he was on his toes for 10 hours straight countering every single claim my former employer tried to make. By the end of the 10 hours Mr. Shirazi resolved my case and made sure I never have to worry about my former employer again. I could have ended up in an uncomfortable deposition and an emotional week long arbitration. Honestly, I would have walked away a long time ago if it wasn't for Mr. Shirazi. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to meet people that have the ability and the heart to change our lives for the better. Mr. Shirazi is one of those rare life changers that truly cares about his clients. I realize this review can never be enough of a thank you for what he accomplished with my case, so I hope my eternal gratitude will suffice.

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME

I contacted Mr. Shirazi about one year ago. I read reviews and they seemed positive. Unfortunately he is not reliable, flaky and a total waste of time. I would never recommend him. He is entirely unprofessional and not very bright. Here is what happened: I contacted him because at the time I had been... working for a company who did not pay my salary for quite some time. Mr Shirazi gladly took my case because the amount in questions was quite high and he was interested in collecting a large portion of that, since he offered to take my case on contingency. I had never worked with a lawyer who takes a case on contingency. I was concerned that it could potentially backfire, because it could mean that the lawyer is not as responsive. I was hoping my concern would not be validated. But it was. His sales pitch at our first meeting was very convincing, slightly over the top (which should have been a warning sign – but I was blinded by hope). He told me this case is “easy” for him ( I don’t believe any case is easy ever – certainly not when it includes high caliber opponents and is complex, which I told him at our first meeting). He says he has a lot of “celebrity clients” and uses “the media against them”. Not sure I would agree with that tactic, but it was one he seemed proud of. I just wanted someone who was strong and motivated, and he seemed so. Once I signed his retainer his attitude changed. I couldn’t reach him for weeks. Then after three months of noting he finally met with the opponent’s lawyer. He called me after the meeting and seemed overwhelmed by the complexity of the case. Mind you, I had laid out the case in detail and had warned him about what would happen. He must have not listened and he certainly didn’t read any of my briefs on the case. Would he really think he could earn over $100k without preparing himself for that meeting? Apparently he did. He seemed not to care about the details and any preparation and went in cold. No wonder he was overwhelmed. He gave me excuses as to why he was unclear what steps to take next. He asked for all kinds of paperwork, which I sent him. Mountains of paper. I don’t believe he ever actually read anything. Whenever I called him for updates he was “busy” or away. Another four months with nothing happening go by . I kept calling him and pressuring him to take action, at which point he hands me over to his colleague Sherri, who sends me a form to fill out for the labor board. That form is one I could have filled out by myself – from the get go - no lawyer needed. At the time my mother became ill and I had to leave the city for a few weeks. When I came back I received a letter in which he explains he can’t represent me because I didn’t fill out the form . Mind you the form is one his secretary could have filled out, because he had all the information from me for nearly a year. I believe he is lazy and doesn’t really care about his clients. He was surely annoyed by me pushing him to do something. The professional action to take would have been to tell me the case is too complex for him, a which point I could have hired the other firm that had offered to take my case. He should have done so in the beginning, not nearly one year later…. I’m have now lost one year and may have lost the chance of recovering my lost wages.

Moral of the story--don't ever lie to your lawyer. Much of this is nonsense by a person who tried to make our firm continue with their case (despite multiple lies and refusing to provide necessary information) in exchange for taking down this viciously false review.
