Expert Advise, Highly Recommended

I hired Cohen IP Law Group about 2 years ago after transferring over our midsize IP portfolio of mostly trademarks and a few patents from an extremely large and bloated law firm over to Mr. Cohen's. Not only did I receive a much more personalized experience, but everything seem to just move faster w...ithout breaking the bank. I have had several conversations with Michael over the years and every time I feel like it has been worthwhile and walked away with a concrete plan of action. Mr. Cohen's advise and counsel has been extremely valuable and has contributed to our current licensing programs which has translated to an increased bottomline.

The Best IP Lawyer

As general counsel for a mid-size corporation, I rarely write reviews for attorneys. However, after a referral to Cohen IP Law Group, Michael Cohen and his associate Josh Eichenstein handled our complicated trademark and patent issues thoroughly and surpassed all expectations, and even uncovered and ...solved issues to which we were unaware. We look forward to using Cohen IP Law Group for all future IP matters.

INCOMPETENT and DISHONEST!

I came to Cohen IP Group to hire attorney Michael N. Cohen to do my Patent Application and end up with lost my money, wasted my time and felt very disappointed. I could see that the more I stay with him the more I would pay his fees to get the junk works from him. I gave him my graphs with the docume...nts of my invention at the beginning but it looked like he wasn't bother to read and understand what I meant. Now I could see clearly that I was unable to correct the mistakes in his works, since based on his graphs with his descriptions he had sent to me, I could see that he didn't understand my invention at all, and his works was representing for something else, not for my invention, and his works were only valuable for himself to show that he actually had done some works so he could legally earn his fees and made me to continue paying him. How his works could represent for my invention while didn't understand my invention yet and he didn't want to contact with me to work on it as he had promised at the beginning? My invention was small and simple but at the beginning he told me that 'my Patent Application WON'T PASS the USPTO at the first time FOR SURE', and 'the average of the patent application won't pass the USPTO was 3 times.'. Now I thought I understood what he meant by that phases, since each time his "Office action response" for the not pass patent application he would charge an extra average $2,000.00.... He didn't care what I had concerned, and he was only concerned to make sure he collects his fees in advance. What he had said and promised at the beginning was just for getting me to pay his fees and sign the agreement paper (which I thought it was the Contract, but later he told me "it wasn't the Contract, it was just the agreement that I will pay the rest of his fees only." - I was surprised!) only. I should never counted on his words, even if he had written those on the paper, since later he didn't do any of what he had said or promised, and he also refused them all in the paper (which I was unaware of when I signed it) with the phase "Nothing in this Contract and nothing in Attorney's statements to Client will be construed as a promise or guarantee about the outcome of the prosecution of the Client's patent application ...". And there were also a lot phases in the paper were covering his back so well which I was unaware of when I signed it. I learned from attorney Cohen that When he asked to sign any paper, I better TAKE IT HOME and READ CAREFULLY THEN MAKE A COPY before thinking of to sign it or not! Hiring attorney Michael N. Cohen to work on my Patent Application was the biggest mistake in my life - my unforgettable nightmare. I would give him a zero star if I could. Extremely Horrible. Stay away! Not recommend.
