  • I was lying on the beach and an unleashed dog chasing a bird trampled me and up kicked my face.

This knocked in my front tooth, split my lips and scratched my face. The dog owner has ignored letters from my attorney to provide insurance, is it worth filing a claim?

    George’s Answer

You need to consult with your lawyer. Consider small claims court or the main court depending on the medical and dental bills and any scarring. Get statements from witnesses.

    George’s Answer

Many insurance companies say they will not pay for rental cars after the total loss payout is offered. But I always argue the client needs more time to receive the check and then find a replacement car. You can sue in small claims court for the property damage/rental car issues. You should keep a paper trail of all delays by the insurance company to justify the need for more rental time. In other words, write emails or letters to the insurance company documenting their deficiencies.

  • Can I sue target for a fall?

Ok so this happened in Daly city California earlier today. I was in line waiting to purchase my items in target and noticed another line was shorter so I went to walk to that line. As I'm walking over I slip and fall in what looks like hand soap. ...

    George’s Answer

You should first get to an ER or Urgent Care to check out and document your injuries. The issue may be why was the soap there and how long was it there on the ground. Witnesses are important. Maybe the soap got on your clothes? Preserve the evidence and consult an attorney.

    George’s Answer

Well yes, make sure you have been paid with good funds and the money is in your account, check has cleared. The judgment creditor signs the Satisfaction, and then usually provides it to the judgment debtor. The judgment debtor can file it then. But either party can usually sign it once signed. Check the local court rules also.

  • Should i deny fault in the vehicle accident i was involved in if i know it wasn't my fault but the police report says otherwise?

I had an accident that I dont think i was at fault for. But for some reason the police report is saying that i was at fault. I have no evidence or anything. Would it be smart to deny fault and risk being sued?

    George’s Answer

Go with the Truth. Don't just rely on the police report. The police opinion regarding fault is not usually admissible in court. Witness statements are crucial when there is a liability dispute. Go to an ER or Urgent Care facility if you have pain, and hire a lawyer to help you.
