I met Mr. Crowder at a seminar he gave a few years ago. His advice was thoughtful, clear and pragmatic. I've always had success following his guidance. I have contacted Mr. Crowder on the phone on matters where I did not hire an attorney. On those matters, he answered my questions, and gave me legal advice that was easy to understand. Recently, I filed a Chapter 7 on my own and then ran into difficulties. I hired Mr. Crowder to help out, and he moved quickly to remedy the problem. I recommend Doug Crowder without reservation.

My business failed and I needless to say had a large amount of debt I was unable to repay. I recieved a recommendation for Mr. Crowder from an attorny on legal zoom. After my initial consultation with Mr. Crowder in January 2014 I decided to pursue debt settlement instead of bankruptcy. I would call Mr. Crowders office and talk to him or his paralegal on several occasions over the next few months. Every time I called or emailed I asked for an update on my case. On a typical phone call after a few minutes of reviewing my case file they would pretty much tell me the same information they told me the last time I called, a key indication that nothing was happening with my case. After a few months of this (approximaitly June 2014) I became concerned about how long it was taking and was told that a debt settlement can take up to 5 years to complete. At this point I decided to go ahead and file banktuptcy because it should be done relatively quickly and could move on with my life. Unfortunately, performance did not improve. It took several months and follow up calls to get the bankruptcy done. If Mr. Crowders office needed paperwork from me they would simply wait, if I had not been calling them so frequently my bankruptcy may still not be complete. Once the trustee hearing was finally happening Mr. Crowder couldn't be bothered to show up. He hired a stand in attorney who was completely unprepared for the hearing and recieved a first class ass chewing from the trustee. This of course resulted in my hearing being rescheduled so that I had to miss another day of work. My bankruptcy was finally complete in January 2015. I was finally moving on with my life. Then in May 2015 my car was repossessed. After some research it bacame clear that Mr. Crowder failed to provide a letter of affirmation to Toyota Financial Services so that I could keep my vehicle and continue to pay on my car loan. When I called Mr. Crowder about this I asked if I was supposed to be able to keep my vehicle, he quickly responded, "yes." When I asked why had it been reposessed that night he began to stammer in confusion and stated, "well that shouldn't have happened." He had me sign a power of attorney so that he could get the issue fixed. His office attacked this problem with the same lacluster enthusiasm as the rest of my case. Through my parents help using money from their retirement account I was able to buy the car back before it was acutioned. I have sent an email to Mr. Crowder on May 20, 2015 requesting that he cover the towing, storage, and other fees assocaited with the reposession. As of today June 17, 2015, he has not responded.
