Alan represented me 4 years ago. First he advised me to allow the police into my seized computer by giving them the password, saying they would get in eventually anyway. This was completely false because, as I found out later, my Mac was impenetrable by the cops. This poor council resulted in the pol...ice discovering material in my search history which, while not illegal, was the basis for the Judge in my case to ignore my sentencing recommendation of less than a year in County Jail and instead give me 2 years in prison. I did plead to my charges and found out the morning of my sentencing that I was being recommended for no more than the one year and he was going to fight for less or none. When we were told I was getting longer, Alan put up no defense at all. He never raised any points that the cops entrapped me, that they propositioned me, and contacted me even after I broke of contact. I cannot recommend Alan, unless you have a lot of money in which case he will ignore those clients who aren't rich for his wealthier clients. I paid him $25k and he tried to bill me for more.
