Kevin is a phenomenal attorney/litigator. Whatever I'm going to write about him/his team here wouldn't truly convey/reflect how extremely polished these guys are: Terrific people -- ethical, strategists, and very professional. If you have any habitability/tenancy/eviction issue(s) with your landlord/"slumlord" go to them first, immediately, and only them -- go/seek legal advise/representation from absolutely nobody else -- if you want to truly protect your rights — within the tenant/landlord scope of practice (in my humble opinion) no other attorney/legal firm in Los Angeles/Southern California possesses even a slight bit of their rich and extensive legal expertise, professionalism, and know-how to get you the justice you deserve, for a very reasonable/low flat fee. BASTA, Inc., all its staff, have provided me with top-notch legal service, care, emotional support, and well-calculated follow-ups to make sure that my case's progress goes smooth from A to Z, and eventually win it, after spending countless hours preparing for my trial, which I sincerely appreciate and I'm thankful for all my life. These guys are very dedicated and know how to strategically fight for your rights and guarantee the latter eventually -- you simply have to exactly follow their advise, be patient, and let them do their job - you absolutely wouldn't be disappointed. I've retained BASTA, Inc. services multiple times thus far and I won't hesitate to hire them again and again if needed -- true life savers/heroes! Thank you Daniel, Ned, Kevin, Garcia, Rebecca, Andrea, and ALL BASTA, Inc. personnel -- we disenfranchised/marginalized/powerless tenants/communities really don't know what we could have done without your invaluable help! Truly, thank you very much BASTA, Inc.! God bless you all!

I had a phenomenal experience with BASTA and Kevin Hermansen. BASTA is a non-profit and only does eviction defense, so they're really good at it. I lived in a building that the city of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety determined was illegally converted to residential lofts. Kevin used the Rent Stabilization Ordinance to get me the required relocation fee and my landlord criminally charged. If you see a bad review... it was probably written by a crooKed landlord that lost a case to Kevin. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being evicted, you couldn't do better than Kevin Hermansen.
