My nightmare began over 9 months ago. My husband and I had only been married one month and we got into an argument. I threw something in an attempt to distract him and it ended up hitting him below the eye. He went to the emergency room since it was Saturday and when they asked him what happened he told them I accidentally hit him with something. Turns out, they are legally required to call the cops if you say a partner hit you and the cops are legally required to arrest you. I ended up getting arrested and spending several hours in jail and to make it worse, it was a felony charge! My husband had to pay $5k to bail me out.
In my job, it is imperative that I have a clean record so this charge was threatening my ability to make a living. I knew I needed a lawyer but I really didn’t know how to choose one so I just went online and called a bunch. I ended up calling Mike’s number but he didn’t answer and I didn’t leave a message. A few minutes later he called me back and he asked me to do research on him and call him back. I did and that is when I learned of his previous role as a prosecutor for the DA and his impressive education. I called back and he understood right away how important this was for my job. I met with him that day and hired him right away.
I read all the reviews here but I still wasn’t convinced that any lawyer could be that great. I sat in the courtroom and watched lawyers file in and they looked sloppy and used car salesman-y. Then my attorney walked in, smiling, looking polished, and he knew all the lawyers and the judge. He even cracked jokes with the judge so I thought I may be in good hands. At the first court date, they tried to get a restraining order against me and Michael was not accepting it. The prosecutor tried to get a lower level restraining order and Michael shot that down too. I learned early on, Michael would get his way and would not stop until he did. I didn’t receive a restraining order.
All throughout my case Michael did stress to me to let him do his job and he will get me the best possible outcome. There were times I would email him and write him and tell him how scared I was and I learned he is not trying to hear all that. He needs to be left alone to do his job. He may not be your friend, but he is a damn good lawyer. Throughout the 9 months, he never once even considered pleading me out; he never even brought it up. It was either dismiss this or give me a diversion, that was it. And after 9 long months, that IS what happened. He got the prosecutor to agree that if I take 26 anger management classes and pay a fine, that they will drop the case completely.
I spent my first 9 months of marriage in a nightmare, but Michael ended it for me. He fought for me, he represented me fairly and I CANNOT give him enough praise. After the case he came down to see my husband and he even got emotional seeing us embrace and celebrate the moment. He realized that we were 2 people that were in love and just got into a bad situation. If you need legal help, 100% call Michael Kraut.

I Don't think I've ever heard anything sweeter than "case dismissed" in my life. When I was pulled over for DUI I thought I automatically became a criminal in people and government judgment but thanks God for finding Michael in this frustrating process my case was dismissed and Im back to normal, happy life. From the first time I spoke to him on the phone until the last time we met on the court he always assured me to give me my life back and he stood by his promise. I consulted lots of lawyers before him but after meeting Michael in his office and the confidence he had on his work I knew he is "the guy" who can put me out of trouble.
I was pulled over because of "hesitance to drive on the green light" which I never knew its something you could get pulled over for on 4th of July in the hermosa beach. I didn't have that much to drink that day and I thought I'm defiantly ok to drive. Apparently not though. I was talking with my fiancé in the car trying to find the way to get back home and I waited on the green light maybe 10-15 seconds after it was green. A cop car drove behind and pulled me over and as I mentioned the reason for pulling me over as it was stated by him was hesitance to drive after the light was green. Since it was 4th of July the first question was if I had anything to drink and I thought there would be no reason to lie since I felt I was ok so I said I had couple of beer so he had me come out of my car and pass the usual tests. After passing those he said since he isn't sure I am ok , I better take a breathalyzer so I did and he said there is just one last test to take so I agreed and he made me turn around put hand cuffs on me. I don't think I ever felt more terrible in my life. Right away I got an anxiety attack, started shaking and throw up on his feet which he deserves. Lol
Then they took me to jail. They took an other breathalyzer test there and told me my Blood alcohol level was .09 and since I was just .01 over, after writing the fine they let me go right away so I was in the station for about 45 minutes all together. Even though that was good nothing made me feel any better until I found Michael and he assured me he will get me out of trouble. As I said he got my case dismissed and also as far as DMV side of things he made it so I didn't lose my license for any amount of time or anything else. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good lawyer

Attorney Michael Kraut is my new superhero! (Seriously) and this is why:
I had two old cases, one from 1991 (age 19)- legally intoxicated because of my age/ public defender- (pleased guilty)- and another from 1995 ( age 23).
A short while later, in 1996, I was struck with an illness that was getting worse by the day. My condition got so bad that I ended up in a hospital and upon release, was wheelchair bound. The initial treatment was horrific- Nausea, weird rashes and reactions to medications.
Then, in 1998, things got better. I hired an attorney who did nothing but make false promises and took my money.
FAST FWD to May 2013- my life could not be any different. Eighteen years had passed and I do not recognize the person who got arrested. My hard work, dedication and ambition had taken me to a level I thought I would never reach- I moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 1999 to begin a job that literally changed my life forever.
YET- I still had not taken care of that 1991/1995 issue.
After hours of intensive research all indicators pointed me to Michael Kraut. He is a Harvard Alumni, former District Attorney and impeccable track record.
During our first conversation he was very to the point. He listened and asked me what “I” wanted to accomplish. I stated my goals, which were to pay any fines left Get the classes done, do my community service, get my license back and not go to jail- In other words- A nearly impossible request. I say this because I had TWO separate cases.
Michael immediately went to work.
During his prep time I had to make a trip to LA for other business. Michael took this opportunity to personally schedule my court dates on the Friday I was there. He told me to block out the whole day. He said he would personally meet me at the courthouse to take care of both cases himself.
Court Case #1- from 1991-Transferred from Downey to Bellflower- He placed me on the calendar after the clerk told me “NO”- spoke to the judge in chambers about my medical condition in 1996 and here we go- I was nervous, but was ready. In court he was professional, sharp and told me exactly when to speak and when to just keep quiet. This is his playground- I was not about to question anything.
By the time this case was done, my warrant was lifted, I had class reinstated and my fines were all paid. It was swift, quick and I was left speechless. This may sound easy, but trust me- it was like a well-orchestrated piece of music. Every move had a reason- it was amazing to watch. Pure magic.
Court Case #2- from 1995- Alhambra. This case was not as orchestrated as the first. This took some serious back door, in court and side bar negotiations- but at the end of the day I walked out of there with a small fine, no warrant, an 18 mo. class, community service and I had to do a day in Jail- Which freaked me out. He told me to trust him- He told me when to go, what to do and say and what time to turn myself in. Long story short, I never saw the inside of the jail. The officer was super nice, and told me to have a great weekend and to never drink and drive again. If I was there for 2 minutes, that was too much.
My license was a different issue. The DMV and courts do not share information, which in my case made things difficult. Regardless- by 3pm that afternoon, Michael emailed me the steps I needed to do to get my license- I was driving by Monday.
What can I say?? Michael is amazing!! Most professionals in today’s world very rarely impress me. It seems most have lost their work ethic, moral compass, compassion and love for their work. NOT MICHAEL- he loves what he does and it shows in his passion to get things done.
Michael is well connected, knows his stuff and made me a believer.
My advice to anyone who has case as old as mine (or make your life easier by calling him first) Call Michael !! He will surly impress you too!
