Katherine Harvey-Lee is an attorney at the preeminent plaintiff law firm of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman, focusing her practice on commercial transportation accidents resulting in personal injury or wrongful death. In addition to her years of experience handling cases stemming from aviation accidents and truck accidents, Katherine has also been involved in numerous vehicle product liability actions and automotive defect cases.
While working towards a fine arts degree at Carnegie Mellon University, Katherine worked as a research assistant at the Software Engineering Institute, where she published a major report on maintaining quality assurance in large organizations while software and other engineered products are being developed.
Katherine went on to Whittier Law School, where she was a teaching assistant in legal writing and civil procedure. Katherine also served as a law clerk in the chambers of Justice Earl Johnson, Jr. of the California Second District Court of Appeals, Seventh Division. During her time at Whittier Law School, she received the distinctive Southern California Defense Scholar award for the school's top performance in torts and legal writing, and led teams for both the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Honors boards.
After obtaining her law degree, Katherine went to work for the California Fourth District Court of Appeals, where she did appellate work for indigent clients. Her compassion and willingness to help others carried her throughout the years as she worked on countless automotive and transportation cases for some of California's most distinguished plaintiffs' firms. That compassion continues to drive Katherine in her work at Baum Hedlund, where she has three times been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star. She has also been listed in Best Lawyers® since 2013. Her writing has also been published in The Advocate and TRIAL Magazine, where she covered the dangers of curbside bus operators.
