Trustworthy and Professional

I retained Mr. Turoci and his firm because I was drowning in debt and could no longer afford to continue to stay in debt. I had tried everything from consolidation to car title loans and nothing was helping. He gives you all the options that are available and helps you to make the best choice for you...r situation. Sherry in the High Desert office is amazing. She is professional, caring, and responsive. If you have a questions, she will get you the honest answer. She keeps you informed and is clear about the timelines involved and what it needed to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible. Mr. Turoci knows what he is doing and never gave us the answers we wanted to hear, but gave us the honest and correct answers. He made sure we were completely informed and as helped us to gain piece of mind with a new financial start.

A Personal Review of Mr. Turoci, from experience in his handling my case!

I have been in litigation with Mr. Turoci, and his knowledge of the law was impressive. He seems to thrive in litigation and the court system. His arguments, both oral and written are superb. I would consider him first in matters related to bankruptcy and personal litigation. In my experience, he has... always done what he said he would.

Don't even consider this firm if you have a Bankruptcy adversary case.

I have held off long enough posting this review. We hired this firm to defend us against a virtually non-lose-able, garden-variety real estate "adversary" case (Todd Turoci claims to be a real estate broker so he should know what was involved in our case) filed by a shakedown artist. We won on the t...wo causes of action, as we should have anyway, but Turoci's work was so sloppy that we lost the third issue: our contractual right of reimbursement of our $23,000 in attorney fees thus far. They did not submit evidence they should have, and also did not brief the court properly on our rights. Then, they hired the judge who presided over our case, preventing us from getting her unbiased opinion as to how she would have ruled if she had the proper evidence and law briefed to her. Another Bankruptcy judge suggested we may have a cause of action for malpractice. Three days later Turoci sued us for another $32,000 and are claiming their attorney fees for what they are doing to us now, a total of over what they claims is $70,000 which, for two old people on a fixed income who are already out $23,000+, is absolutely unthinkable. They threaten to foreclose on our little, old fixer-upper home, which is the only asset we have. They also hold trust deeds on other people's homes so we suspect they have done this to other people. If they had been half as aggressive in defending us as they are in their case against us we would have had our $23,000 plus. Hopefully we can get some relief on appeal. We suggest you not hire this firm for anything but the usual Chapter 7, etc., which only requires filling out forms, because, if they screw up your case like they did ours, they will in turn try to screw you, too, out of your hard-earned money. If we could leave no stars, we would.

Joyce and I are in litigation over the handling of her case. This is very odd, because I, in fact, won her case. Her unhappiness stems from her failure to have her attorney's fee paid by the losing party. The attorney's fees provision of the contract she was sued over required her to participate in mediation before she was eligible to win attorney's fees. Joyce is an attorney and should have been able to read the plain language of the contract. However because of her failure--prior to retaining me, she has to pay her own attorneys fees--even though we won her case. The judge in the bankruptcy case explained this to her, I explained this to her, and she has recently lost in state court on summary judgment. Lawyers make their own worst clients, and Joyce is no exception, had she followed my advice she would not be in this situation
