Attorney Douglas Wachholz has represented clients on immigration law matters for over forty years. During his long career he has also served with the Development Coordination Committee of The White House, US Agency for International Development ("USAID"), US Trade and Development Agency, US Department of State, Managing Consultant for the World Bank's Structural Adjustment Loan to the Government of Jamaica, and consultant to US Commerce Department on privatization of water and wastewater projects in Brazil and Argentina. His career includes service as General Counsel for Amnesty International-USA, Director of the Africa Project of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and Director of the Environment Program of the Institute of the Americas, La Jolla, California.
