There really aren't enough stars to rate Mr. Garrett Ogata and his law firm; in my book they are a 20 out of 5. I was looking for an attorney for a family member facing a very grave charge, and the process of finding someone was nothing short of terrifying. With zero experience in today's legal sys...tem, how do you know you're going to be well represented when the outcome is the potential loss of everything you've worked for, along with your freedom? To make matters worse, I needed to find an attorney in a different city from my own. In my first attempt, I thought I was contacting a specific person but ended up connected to a referral service. I got a call back from someone the next day. He was obviously on the run, no time to talk, didn't want any details, didn't have time or desire to meet except for the few minutes before the warrant return hearing, and wanted the standard fee. I just remember hanging up with a sick feeling in my gut. Luckily, the next call I made was to Mr. Ogata's law firm. His message and manner on his website were genuine and made me feel he would do a good job, and I’m happy to say I wasn't wrong! Mr. Ogata met with us in person and by phone whenever we needed, answered tons of questions, and was both forthcoming and confident about the possible outcomes and how he planned to approach the charges. Even with our first visit, a tremendous weight was lifted and the outcome he achieved could not have been better. So many things were at risk of being lost but Mr. Ogata made sure none of them were. i want to thank Garrett Ogata and his staff for helping me get through a couple very tough DUI charges. One in 2015 after I was falsely charged under very sketchy circumstances. We took it to trial where Garrett totally destroyed a career prosecutor in a dazzling display of court room prowess. The re...sults were an acquittal and being fully exonerated of any charge. More recently I got tangled up in an accident after I stopped for a quick bite to eat ten minutes from home. Had a coffee and what I thought was a small amount of Baileys Irish cream. Apparently enough to put me over the legal limit. This was very serious as someone in the car I rear ended while trying myself to avoid getting rear ended from behind claimed might have been injured. My insurance covered it but I was looking at a possible felony charge. Mr. Ogata fought tirelessly and kept that from happening. He basically saved my life. I have an interlock device in my car for a year, which is an accident waiting to happen in itself but well but you can't put a price on freedom.
