Imagine being in Jail. scared and alone, facing prison and you just realized you hired an attorney who took $5,000 from you and then abandoned you. That's what Michael Amador did to me. It got so bad I had to pretend to be a new client so he would take my calls, then when he discovered it was me he would make some rude comment like "I heard you're causing problems in jail". Michael Amador did absolutely nothing but take my money. I fired Amador and got a public defender who was ten times the man Michael Amador was and he got me probation unlike Amador who it seemed wanted me to rot in prison.

I hired him for my husband in 2001 and I wish I had seen the media information before I did. He took $15,000 (by maxing out my credit cards) from me and showed up in court once to obtain bail for my husband and then never did any of the things he said he could or would do in his defense. When he seemed to be tired of my haunting his office and asking questions, he told me, "look, your husband is an idiot because he was not here in this office the day after he was released on bail." When I said he had not requested that he had no response. I left the office in tears and eventually found another attorney who did listen and did help for a quarter of the charge. Mr. Amador was even unprepared in court ,arguing for my husband by saying he was employed for the previous 10 years at the same place in LV. In reality what he was talking about was MY employment, not my husband's, but Mr. Amador didn't seem to care enough to get his facts straight. I have been watching for nine years for websites to warn others about this man. If you are in doubt, just read of his antic through the only high profile case he ever had and how he was fired.
